1st adventure into watercooling please help!

You wont need a separate fan controller as you have all the headers you require on the mobo. Your mobo bios will be very similar to mine as it is an Aorus master. For each of the fan headers you can define which temperature source you want to use. There are several sensors around the mobo...

1st adventure into watercooling please help!

I have the inlet and outlets at the top of the radiator in the case. You wont have circulation problems, just makes it awkward to completely drain the system.

1st adventure into watercooling please help!

On my setup, I run 6 fans on the https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-coolstream-pe-classic-360-triple-fan-radiator-wc-9s3-ek.html which is 45mm thickness front radiator in push-pull configuration and on the top radiator...

1st adventure into watercooling please help!

I started with one of the EK Kits which has now been superseded by the Classic Kit D-RGBP360. The single 360x40mm thickness radiator happily cooled my 3900X CPU and RTX 2080TI GPU I later added an additional 360x30mm thickness radiator and adjusted fan and water pump speeds around the system...

Water Flow Rate v's CPU/GPU Temperatues... my own findings...

I trust you had your fan speeds locked while doing that testing, i.e. they were not ramping up and down. You need to have as many constants as possible so that it is only the water pump speed that can be attributable to the temp changes. I tested my system for a couple of months to achieve...

    d5 pump issue

WAIT!! Had exact same problem with my D5 pump that came with that same kit and tried connecting it to different mobo headers etc,. Like yours, it worked for 6 weeks perfectly then showed that problem. Contact EK Support and they will tell you to raise a RMA. They will send you a new pump, you...

noob question: EK classic kits and future loop expansion

In reference to oldbanana's comments. I had an issue with my pump after around 7 weeks whereby the RPM signal line from the pump failed. The pump was still working but as I was data logging while overclocking my system I picked up on the fault straight away. I contacted EK and emails were...

noob question: EK classic kits and future loop expansion

I started with this kit https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-kit-p360 to cool both my 3900X CPU and 2080TI GPU and it kept both components around 50 degrees C during testing with Heaven Benchmark. After a couple of months of data logging I bought a second EK SE360 radiator and put that in the loop...

    Noble or Secret?

I bought the SecretLab Titan 2020 XL PU leather in March. After 3 months of use (typically 12-14 hours per day), it is a good chair but has its faults. When locked in position there is still a slight rocking motion of a couple of degrees which has been raised on here...

best quiet fan for WC rads

I have an EK PE 360 in my system which came as part of the EK P360 kit. Its a 38mm rad. I run the EK-Vardar F4-120ER in pull configuration and Cooler Master MasterFan SF120R ARGB in push on this rad. During none gaming mode the Vardars run at 900 rpm and the CM's at 1000 rpm. When gaming the...

    H500M Fan Layout

That would depend on the fans you are replacing them with and the airflow/static pressure they produce. Keep in mind the noise also. I replaced my 2x200mm fans with 3x120mm high static pressure fans as I was needing air pushed through a radiator sitting behind them.

    Good Looking High Airflow Case?!

I can recommend the Coolermaster H500M.. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/coolermaster-mastercase-h500m-mesh-midi-tower-gaming-case-gunmetal-tempered-glass-ca-370-cm.html I use it with a custom water cooling loop but the amount of mesh and great air flow provides great cooling capabilities...

    Simple questions rads vs flow

As pastymuncher mentioned that top rear fan should be an exhaust because at present it is pulling in the hot air expelled from the GPU. Your case is very similar to my H500M so I believe you do have room to fit your fans below the radiator in exhaust orientation as that is how I have mine fitted.

    Simple questions rads vs flow

Hard to tell from that image, but do you have a kink in the inlet hose to your pump? Also, how about moving your radiator from the top of the case to the front and having the fans in a pull configuration drawing in cooler ambient air through the radiator?

    D5 Pump flow rate?

Pleased to see you doing some data logging. That Delta-T of 7 degrees C you are seeing should put a smile on your face. The next data logging test is your fan speeds. Remove any ramping on your water pump, setting it at 50% speed permanently as you were seeing no benefit of it running any...

    D5 Pump flow rate?

    That flow rate is dependant on the diameter of the piping you use. Using a Barrow flow meter my D5 pump (with 10mm diameter hose) produces (litres/min) at the following power outputs 100% = 6.8, 90% = 6.5, 80% = 5.5, 70% = 4.5, 60% = 3.5, 50% = 2.5, 40% = 1.3 and 30% = 0.2. I have a 2 x 360mm...

If mounting your drain on the outlet of the pump you may need a Y splitter, one branch for the drain the other for continuation of loop.

Like you, I was thinking about the radiator sequence in the loop when I built my system. Then it clicked, at the end of the day its the same amount of heat put into the loop from the two components and the same radiator surface area for its removal so it does not matter about where/sequence in...
