So, had a bit of time with the PS5. Now the initial rush of it arriving has had a sleep between me and it I thought Iwould post an update.
Initial setup - went without a hitch, walks you through the steps easy as anything. Copied data from old PS4 absolutely fine and is working sweet. Tried...
You can fill the monitor but if your device output resolution is different from what the monitor can support on a per pixel basis it will either be squished, bits chopped off or re-scaled to fit in some way (maybe black bars at each end depending on the resolution used). Unless your device...
Worth noting that my work laptop does not list 5120x1440 as a supported resulution but it does drive the monitor at that resolution. Just at 30hz which for me works fine (I dont see any discernable flicker). The additonal desktop space is fantastic at 5120 :-)
I have been wondering about this since the initial PS5 reveal, I also have an UW monitor (5120x1440) and am interested to see what my PS5 makes of it. I agree it is unlikely it will fill the screen but would be nice to know exactly what resolutions the PS5 can support. My main interest is...
Yeah, I have the Disc edition, Media Remote, Controller, Camera and Assasins Creed on pre-order and no change yet. If they come early i can let myself open one item every 2 days to stretch it out ;-)
Unless my guess is right of course......
You are probably right, it is just that the Supply Chain seems to be able to stand the accesories being brought forward so I wondered if other news was coming. it may be that the earlier date was always planned but they were cautious so gave 19th. Who knows but its fun to wonder :-)
Thats odd, a quick google on "which is easier to develop for ps5 or xbox series x" doesn't support that statement. XBox seems to be better suited to cross platorm games but pure SDK my admittedly light googling leans towards the PS5.
I refuse to not be excited.
1. It's a cool new toy.
2. Its MUCH better than my Ps4 and i like that as it is
3. It's a cool new toy! (And he who dies with the most toys wins!)
Is anyone else wondering if they might also bring the PS5 release date forward in the UK. Maybe waiting to ensure can get the hardware in place first...
Thanks for the advice on memory, every little bit helps :-)
Sounds wise, not too bothered really. Have some basic speakers and a set of HyperX Cloud 2 headphones which will do me fine, only time I would really make any use of a decent sound card would be if i set it up in the living room and...
Don't think she can do the VAT unfortunately but will ask her. She is the best! (She actually bought the monitor too, I was looking at a smaller one but showed her the CRG9 and she insisted we got it coz it looks so cool) :)
Assuming she was serious about the whole PC upgrade thing (She agreed...
Thanks for the detailed response, my situation is that I may have a 1 off opportunity to ***** £2500 ish on a gaming rig. My wife has been contracting (and getting a really good daily rate) and has agreed to fund it as she can offset against her tax bill.
The AMD CPUs look interesting, but my...
Hi all
Not done a build for some years so pretty out of touch with current options and after some advice.
I am already fortunate enough to have a glorious Sammy CRG9 5120x1440 32:9 monitor and am looking to see if i can build a PC that can do it justice for around £2500.
As far as I can tell...
