    MSI Mystic Light Not Working

Hi. I've just built two new identical systems featuring MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX motherboards and Deepcool RF120 fans. Both were working absolutely fine with the RGB until today. The one system has reverted back to static red colouring and Mystic Light wouldn't open. I've uninstalled and...

    Windows won’t boot

I’ve now taken out the SSD and tried to install Windows to the HDD instead but it restarted during installation and now is back at the ‘install’ screen. It’s a dedicated GPU. Some specs that I know of below: Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P FX GPU: Gigabyte R7 370 Windforce OC RAM: HyperX Fury...

    Windows won’t boot

Cheers for the reply. It’s not one particular driver, it just happens regardless. For example, I had just installed chrome, opened it up and it happened again.

    Windows won’t boot

Hi all. My friend has given me his Windows system, which is about 6 years old, to try and diagnose. The original issue was that it’d boot into the blue screen which gives him options like system restore, start up repair etc. I formatted his hard drive, reinstalled windows and everything seemed...

RTX 2080 SUPER not showing in RGB Fusion

Hi, I’ve got a new build together featuring a GIGABYTE RTX 2080 SUPER GAMING OC. I want to control the RGB on the card but upon launching RGB Fusion 2.0, only the RAM shows up. How can I fix this please? Thanks.

    Rate my build...

Hi all, Putting together a gaming build for £980 maximum - thoughts on this? Competitor removed. Was going to get the RX 580 but discovered the 1660 SUPER at a decent price. It's for gaming at 1920x1080 - ideally 144Hz. Any changes I should consider? Just looking for ideas. Thanks!

    Future Proof Gaming Build

Thanks for the detailed response. Are you suggesting I go down the Ryzen route? Any suggestions for coolers on the R9 3900/50X? Thanks in advance.

    Future Proof Gaming Build

Having spoken to them, they are going to want to look at 1440p 144Hz monitors, with a view to moving to 4k. You could put it that way, yes, lol.

    Future Proof Gaming Build

Hi all. I need parts list ideas - I'm doing a build for a friend who has a big budget for a new gaming pc. The budget is £2500-3000. I know the newgen GPUs are out soon, but they're insistent on having this build asap, with a view to upgrading to one of the new GPUs in the future, so if you...

    Best Case & Fans / i9 9900k & RTX 2080 Ti

Hello, Planning a new build with an i9 9900k & RTX 2080 Ti, so of course I'm going to need some serious cooling. For the i9, I'm planning to go with the Corsair H150i. I just need suggestions on what case is ideal for airflow with that probably mounted at the front. Also, I'm gonna need some...

I cleaned it off and applied my own anyway.

Ryzen 5 3600 Crashing During Stress Test

Yeah, the heatsink is definitely on properly. The screws only tighten to a point anyway and they’re as tight as they should be. No play at all. I’m just a bit lost at this point.

Ryzen 5 3600 Crashing During Stress Test

System just rebooted after 15 minutes whilst I was clicking through the Aida64 tabs. Reloaded Aida64 and it says the max temp was 95C.

Ryzen 5 3600 Crashing During Stress Test

So I’ve reset the BIOS to default. Currently stress testing. All seems okay but I don’t like the CPU temps. At the moment (10 mins in) temps are at 89C and spiking sometimes into the 90s. Voltage usually 1.3-1.33. Frequency about 3.8GHz. this is with the cooler running at constant 100%.

Ryzen 5 3600 Crashing During Stress Test

Okay, cheers. I’ll put the CPU ratio back to auto and try it. Should I be limiting the voltage or leave that on auto also? I can’t remember to be honest. Do you recommend dropping the MHz down to default and running the memtest again?
