Any recommend for a new e-mail/web hosting provider please

Thanks. Using AppleMail is OK, and 3 email accounts is OK. I am not sure how it interacts with iCloud family at the moment, and had some issues with trying an email address that was already an iCloud account. But I've got one (other) domain working, and will explore more after tso is dead.

Any recommend for a new e-mail/web hosting provider please

You are right - there isn't. But as previously mentioned, if I am spending that money I would rather do Fastmail than Microsoft, which is entirely personal choice. No not under that impression, was referring to your last sentence, in that if my domain was a "free" one then I might be stuck when...

Any recommend for a new e-mail/web hosting provider please

Thanks for the input. To be clear I have no issue with changing MX/DNS records and know that will be required for whatever I choose. I was referring to the positive situation whereby I control the domain independent of the provider; many (including TSO) offer a "free" domain that I have always...

Any recommend for a new e-mail/web hosting provider please

By "managed elsewhere" I mean my domain registration and DNS is not managed by TSOhost therefore I am able to move without further inconvenience. ExchangeOnline looks to be GBP4/month/user so nearly GBP50/annum. That doesn't seem inexpensive when we were used to paying GBP60/annum for a full...

Any recommend for a new e-mail/web hosting provider please

Any progress or other provider reccomendations on this? I don't want to go to Microsoft, my domain is already managed elsewhere. I am in a similar situation, need to move away from TSOHost, only using one domain with a couple of (important) email accounts and about 10gb of emails (that want to...

UK car insurance for overseas residents when visiting UK

Thanks, at least we weren't missing something. Thanks - yes that is similar to what we are finding. Good to know it's not just us though.

UK car insurance for overseas residents when visiting UK

Yes, I understand the UK license isn't renewable. Regardless, the license part of things doesn't seem to be the issue - the issue is insurance generally not wanting to include "non residents" on an insurance policy. This was really what I was after some assistance with - hoping for...

UK car insurance for overseas residents when visiting UK

Where we are you insure the car not the driver e.g. any driver over 25 can drive our insured vehicle and be fully insured. An owner of vehicle needs to be specified but they do not have to be main driver etc. I don't think they are setup for overseas options but will explore further. I...

UK car insurance for overseas residents when visiting UK

The stumbling block seems to be we are “non resident” ie don’t normally live in the U.K. We have U.K. driving license. Hiring a car is something we have looked into. It is more expensive and also gives us less flexibility eg car seats, roof racks etc. So would prefer not to resort to this.

UK car insurance for overseas residents when visiting UK

Looking for some help here re car insurance. We live overseas now but born and lived in the UK for 20+ years. Previously on trips back we have used family vehicles and they have added us to their insurance with no issues - a small charge but to be expected. We are planning another trip, but it...

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

Just wanted to followup on this as a big thanks to @OllyM as I went with A&A as linked in post above. For GBP1.20/month I get my UK 07 number, with near instant SMS>email, as well as the ability to receive or make calls via SIP which has worked fine using an iOS softphone. I wish I had found...

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

Many thanks for the response! - The Vodafone PAYG data point is interesting. - A&A looks a brilliant solution, and one I had not found with my google skills. The fees are reasonable and an email is a good way for me to get the SMS (and means I can get rid of an old handset and associated charger...

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

Thanks for this. Those fees seem entirely reasonable for my use case, but would have to change to Vodafone, which is in itself a hassle. From reading the article it seems pricing is set from EU, but didn't note which areas it applied to. Will perhaps look into further if a Vodafone PAYG SIM...

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

How much do you pay? I am looking to pay as little as possible as it will just be used for receiving two factor text messages!

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

Thanks that is useful. I did move away from Vodafone after a very frustrating support issue years ago. But perhaps I need to look at a contract again :-9

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

Thanks that is useful. I have asked them to confirm. Appreciate the idea but that sounds a lot of work and expensive to occasionally receive text messages! I think they also geofence them as well.

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

Well it looks like I wasn't the only one that has been caught out by this? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/nov/12/three-cuts-off-stuck-customers-who-exceed-roaming-time-limit No information on SMS > email providers? Any help really appreciated.

Network provider for long term international roaming but limited use?

I live overseas but maintain a UK mobile number in order to get SMS (and occasionally calls) from UK banks and various other places without a drama. It seems this is getting harder to do. For the last 18+ months this has been a 3 PAYG Sim, which when I setup was assured would work roaming as...

    OC(UK) Host Review :-)

Long time no post. I've been with TSOHost since before it was TSOHost. Now having some issues due to them doing a server move and they seem inept. Looking to move providers - CPANEL/WHM. Only for a few small sites and email. Reliability and "no hassle" the most important things in my decision...
