Do you have any kind of drive emulation software runnnig or multiple DVD drives. The program may be looking at the wrong location when trying to load.

Use a 12volt mains adaptor. Wire the +ve terminal of the molex to the centre of the mains adaptor plug, and wire the -ve conector to the outer of the plug...tape it up and plug it in.

I found that you kind of expected the scary bits to come later on in the game. Anyone who's played it knows that you do get some kind of a clue that something spooky is about to happen. Still a cool and spooky game though.
