    4080 & 4090 Coil Whine Thread

Haha. Could be worthwhile. I'm nearly 40, have tinnitus, but tend to be more sensitive to noise than those around me, young or old. Worth making the point that it's all very subjective though.

    4080 & 4090 Coil Whine Thread

It really does seem like a lottery. After browsing various forums the Gaming OC seemed to be the one least likely to get coil whine, and was what I was going to get until I saw the FEs come up.

    4080 & 4090 Coil Whine Thread

Virtually no coil whine on my 4090 FE in an O11D XL when OC'd and on standard fan curve (virtually silent). Case is mostly behind the TV, and I haven't stuck my head close to it while it's benching to try to find it, but it's way quieter than my 3090 FE, and that's after the coil whine on that...

**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S22 Family Thread ****

I find the inability of my S22 Ultra to switch between lenses in 4k60 mode really annoying. Glad this is resolved. I've ordered the S23 Ultra but still unsure if I should go Pixel 7 Pro. The exploding glass thing is one of the only things tithing /turning me off that.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

As stated, 4090 FEs just dropped. Bought one. :)

How are you tracking 4090 FE drops?

    Undervolting +power limit on 4090

Yeah it's fine. I effectively did that on my 3090 and no problems :) Basically whatever you're doing, if it's not crashing and temps are fine, no worries.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Yeah it's nuts. I do, however, suspect either shops withholding stock to stimulate hype and demand, or misguided scalpers. Could be totally wrong and it's just people spending large. Good for them if so :)

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Wow. Good thing, really. Didn't need one!

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Is the max power limit 660W for the 4090 FE? Has anyone seen tests raising the power limit to max and undetvolting / setting custom curves? Der Bauer tested different power limits but didn't seem to tweak the VF curve for max clocks at the highest power.

Anyone know when the review embargo lifts?

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Yup! Power limits also a factor, but under the right conditions they will go well over the manufacturer's rated boost clock.

Phanteks T30 vs Noctua NF-A12x25, what are the noise profiles like?

Thanks! I'll look into it! I agree that the blanket rule on links is a bit silly, but I guess it saves them the time of checking all links to see if it's a true competitor or not.

Phanteks T30 vs Noctua NF-A12x25, what are the noise profiles like?

Nice! Thank you for sharing! One last question, what is the front mesh conversion and where did you get it? Really makes a lot of sense!

Phanteks T30 vs Noctua NF-A12x25, what are the noise profiles like?

That does seem very good! What's your setup regarding in / out, push /pull for each radiator?

Phanteks T30 vs Noctua NF-A12x25, what are the noise profiles like?

I've got 8 P12s in my O11 XL (fat rads mean that the side mounted one has 3 A12s on the back and 2 P12s showing inside the case). I also suffer that 1,000 rpm ish resonance. I've bought P30s to replace all P12s but haven't gotten around to fitting them yet. In the past I've found no guarantee...

    Kraken X73 w/ Define 7 w/ 3080

I never had an X73, but I used to have a 360 AIO on my GPU that I front mounted with the hoses at the bottom, then the Arctic 360 AIO as exhaust on the top. That sounds like what you're going for, and it should be good :)

Skip 4000 series wait for 5000 series?

Peak possible power draw aside, a 40 series card will be massively more efficient than a 30 series card. There is no way they go from Samsung 8nm to TSMC 5nm and be anything but that.
