    Guild Wars 2

I know this is only beta, but I'm not sure if I like it. Much preferred GW1 to this. Back to SWTOR for me for the time being. Hopefully the final release is much better.

*** The Official iPad (Early 2012) Thread ***

Just a note of caution to anyone considering the STM Skinny 3 case, I picked one up today and it seems that the auto power on/off when opening and closing the cover doesn't work as expected. After looking at some forums it seems that quite a few have the same problem. You guys in the UK might...

Can anyone give me any advice on the ego tank system and DIY mixes? I've purchased some DIY mixers (PG) and am mixing them 50/50 with VG nic liquid (as I heard 50/50 was a good mix), but get the feeling that it's too thick for the tank system. Using a premade Dekang liquid in comparison is so...

I know you are supposed to allow doublers to stand for a week or two after receiving them to allow the flavour to develop properly, but should I also be allowing my own DIY mixes (doubler and nic juice) to stand for a similar time before using them? Some of my DIY mixes with new flavours just...

Good Cheap Server - HP Proliant Microserver 4 BAY - OWNERS THREAD

Thanks, sounds promising. Perhaps I'll connect up some old disks and have a play before blowing away my RAID array again, to make sure it all works as expected.

Thanks, but I gave up with USB backups a long time ago. Archiving TB's of data over USB2 takes forever. Using eSATA I can perform a full backup in around 20hrs. I've now decided that ESXi probably isn't the right solution for home. I spend all day using vSphere at work, so spending 2 nights...

Thanks, might have to have a look at this. Can anyone using this method answer me a question? Once a drive is configured as an RDM device, is this persistent? i.e. If I map a drive and connect it to a VM and perform a backup of data on to the RDM drive, can I reconnect that drive again in...

Anyone running ESXi 5? Perhaps you might be able to answer some questions for me. How do you perform backups of data from the VM's on the server (not backing up the VMDK files, but the data itself so it can be mounted on another PC if required)? The Microserver doesn't support VMDirectPath, so...

    Windows Home Server

You should have copied your data off to an external storage device, formatted all the drives and performed an install of WHS2011 and then copied your data back on. There is no migration path between WHS1 and WHS2011. WHS2011 doesn't understand drivepooling, which may be why you're struggling to...

Can anyone tell me whether the onboard eSata port is recognised under ESXi? I currently use eSata for backing up my Microserver to external HDD's and it runs quite happily at about 70MB/s. Having to move back to running backups at 20MB/s over USB would be painful.

Ego-T Type B and Boge 510 LR carts have just arrived as well as a few bottles of non-nic juice (nic ejuice on way from US). Looking forward to having a play later and see how good it is.

Looking to cut down on the smokes and see this as a good alternative to buying a packets of fags when on a night out on the town. Seems like a wealth of information in this thread, but I'm still not really sure what I need or what the difference is between different kit. I've been looking at...

I posted something similar 5 pages or so back (maybe more). I get occasional stuttering with Server 2008. However, when using WHS2011 I get perfect uninterrupted playback. Nobody responded, so I decided to stick with WHS2011. For those of you running Windows and struggling to max out the...

    XBMC Q&A and advice

Stupid question, but have you tried enabling the debugging/logging mode and restarting XBMC to view the logs? I've used this a couple of times when the updater has stopped with errors. The logs enable you to see how far through the scan the update process gets and if it encounters any errors...

Anyone noticed stutter when streaming from Windows Server 2008 R2? Not major stutter, just a buffer update that occurs about every 5-10 mins and lasts for about 2 secs each time it occurs. I have 2 identical hard disks, one installed with a default install of WHS2011 and the other installed...

Well, a quick search on hp.com still shows me the revision O41A BIOS dated 2nd April 2011 that I linked to in my previous post. Where are you seeing a more recent BIOS? is it a beta? It's also not 4 months old. You're aware that Americans list dates different to what we do right? Look at the...
