***** Forum URL update (again) *****

I had it on 3 sites, here and others were Virgin Media forum and one was a pr0n site, only VM is still logging me out and I changed nothing but tried everything. So basically it fixed itself and must be something at the sites end but does not effect everyone, strange.

Is the snake oil slowly retreating from the Hi-Fi industry?

And that is basically what I said, back in 90's a £20 Scart (short) was not a cheapo when you got them at £5 and today I still use good cables and my Kenwood had 4 speakers up in corners of room back then wired with good quality thick gauge cable buried in the new plaster (at that time).

    Afghanistan - 20 years on

More on that video I posted earlier. "Seven people have died at the airport in their bid to seek sanctuary abroad, including two people who are believed to have dropped from the sky after falling from a US Air Force C-17 aircraft." Afghanistan news – live: US forces kill armed men at Kabul...

Is the snake oil slowly retreating from the Hi-Fi industry?

Yes over a cheap poor quality cable, but good quality one at £20 will be as good as a £2000 one. Then fast for to digital where it matter less as it is working or not working but still the cable can be too cheaply made or faulty. It is all 100% BS snake oil no matter who tell you otherwise, go...

    RTX 3090 temperature concerns

I read it lowers power (running cooler would) so leave more headroom for VRam/Core OC.

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

I can live without it being premium you are nit picking through my posts. Again I like Asus you do not, I do not primarily rely on WIFI but nice to have it stable for phone and smart devices around the home (I have 2 VM Super POD's). Many have top end WIFI it as they must have not actually...

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Well they tried Netgear and Arris, I like Asus but would not buy the gaming/Rog range of Routers and no doubt they use intel chipset in some of them. I am a home uer not a server farm and TBH I do not rely on WIFI (mainly phone updates), PC and NV Shield are Wired but both can use the WIFI. In...

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Yea sorry, got mixed up with terms. I had to stick an addition fan bellow the HUB 4 a few weeks ago, no overheating LED but was mad hot. VM will not let users use their own modems as it would be a nightmare when they get issues for support (unlike in USA). IMO they should have the basic and a...

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

VM have 10% added "Contention" all on Tiers possible wrong wording but what they talk about on the VM forums. I know the 3 and 4 are basically the flawed same Chipset and do not need the Band-Aid that moved load to the WIFI Chip via FW update to make look better on TBB charts. WIFI on 4 is...
