why are home carers so under valued. carers allowance moan.

Any job that involves cleaning up after other people is generally looked down upon. Human nature in essence.

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

Agreed - but of course, all those oldies are much more likely to vote Tory with this in mind

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

How about for those people who won't inherit a house? did that ever occur to you, or do you think they should just carry on paying for those that do....that = entitlement!

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

yeah right, coming from some old guy who's probably long retired anyway:rolleyes:

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

You sound like some kind of dilettante, most likely you're happy just living on other peoples' money now, aka 'furlough', or some kind of govt. 'loan'.

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

How about you start then by contributing 5K to the regeneration fund for lost employment, business and freedom then. Are you up for that? Nah, didn't think so..........

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

excellent post!:) and there's for sure a correlation with these people and the pro-lockdown brigade - I mean the lockdown is actually way pushing up house prices, and the young and poor will have to pay for it all in the years ahead

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

Well, wouldn't you be if you'd had your business that had taken 20 yrs to build up, become destroyed by the paranoia (aka 'lockdown, to flatten the curve') and hysteria set in place to 'protect' the most unproductive?

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

If you have no money, then sure, the state/taxpayer can help - but those sitting on houses/assets should contribute a reasonable amount.

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

Sure it's covid related - ie. everyone locked up for 1 yr to protect the old, now they want free care homes as well! I mean where does it end? So, are you prepared to contribute to your own care or not?

People complaining about paying for their own care again = massive entitlement

This story is doing the rounds again - looks like Jeremy Corbo-Hunt is banging the drum for 'free' care agin - capped at 45k max, even for those with 2million pound houses. Now, if it's not enough for the vast majority of healthy people being locked up for 1 year, to 'help out' the old and...

Derek Chauvin murder trial (Police officer who arrested George Floyd)

can't see why, if the guy was already cuffed, there was the need for the long neck kneeling as well?

    Rugby union?

ok cheers, :)yep that's harsh On another topic, I watched the Zebre v Bath game yesterday, there was one penalty (or conversion?) that Zebre took - ball hit the post then bounced back into play - I guess this could cause all sorts of offside/knock on issues etc...

    Rugby union?

ok, so hard to determine exactly, perhaps just up to the discretion of the ref in these kind of situations? How about knocking forward deliberately to yourself, but just as the ball is about to hit the ground, the same player kicks it up, catches it , then carries on - knock on or not?
  15. Outcast440

    Rugby union?

Chesting the ball forward (no arms touching ball), either deliberately or accidentally. Is that a 'knock on'?

Derek Chauvin murder trial (Police officer who arrested George Floyd)

Why didn't the copper just handcuff the guy? then no need for the neck kneeling

It’s all kicking off in Bristol

The government and police here have been intent on banning many people from working for the entire last year, with probably another full year to come. And this site is actually full of its cheerleaders. Can't really see how the argument of banning protests that disrupt businesses can actually be...

That's right - and the govt/media here are also well pro the protesters in Myanmar - some consistency would be nice!

It’s all kicking off in Bristol

Except that is now banned as being 'too noisy' . So this mess, is down to the Tory chumps yet again

It’s all kicking off in Bristol

Good post, totally agree! I mean, banning a protest for being 'too noisy' or 'causing an annoyance' effectively bans virtually all protests.
