I picked up a brand new Mi10t Pro 5G today from Xiaomi for £359 earlier.
The intention is for it to replace my OnePlus Nord which tbh, I am not impressed with coming from my P20 Pro.
What are everyone's thoughts on Xiaomi's OS? I know Oxygen is very light, what's Xiaomi's like?
It's as if EE don't understand how FTTP works. If the ONT is connected at 1000mbps what are they expecting him to do.
A colleague had exactly the same with Vodafone. They kept sending Openreach out for poor WiFi speeds. It was the rubbish hub they provide, nothing to do with the line.
I know I was the same. I ended up going with Sky as they offered me 150Mbps for a decent price but I was considering the higher speeds. Just couldn't justify the price.
I didn't think there would be any throughput plugging directly into the ONT?
My Sky hub has never been out of it's box.
I use an RT-AC68u on Sky FTTP and it's solid as a rock, constantly get 140Mbps+ over 5Ghz and 150Mbps over GigE. I think i'd need to upgrade should Sky release 300, 500 and 900Mbps but for 150, it's doing the job.
To get Option 61 you need Merlin...
Hi MissChief,
Do you know if your upgrade codes work with the new Sky 'New Years' deals?
I'm currently on Sky Entertainment + Netflix £28 a month and want to upgrade to Ultimate + Netflix which with the current new years deal works out at £21+£4.
Great cars of their time and the M57 was class leading at the time too. The engine will do 300k easily if it has been looked after. If it hasn't you'll know about it.
The autos had the dreaded swirl flaps. Crankcase breather would have been the old loo roll style. Glow plugs and controller and...
You can quite easily swamp a 76Mbps connection in a busy household. Start streaming UHD on a few devices and try and watch something on catch up on Sky Q and it'll all grind to a halt.
I'm looking forward to switching from 76Mbps to 150Mbps in January. I wouldn't have minded 300 but Sky don't...
And you're unlikely to get 900Mbps unless you run Cat6 everywhere or spend a fortune on a decent AX router.
Really don't think BT are concerned about the ONT only supporting 1Gb. Takeup on the FTTP 900 package is low compared to FTTP 150. Money talks.
Hi @MissChief ,
I am in the process of moving house, to a new build with Openreach FTTP and obviously no dish present.
Do you have any codes for Ultrafast? I am not currently a Sky broadband customer. I am 8 weeks out from TV contract so they'll probably try and get me to sign up for that too...
I know the feeling.
Half of my street was FTTP'd on build, the other half was copper. I'm on FTTC and luckily get 76/20.
They seem to have forgotten about us and have gone around other streets lighting up FTTP. It's frustrating but would be even worse if the FTTC connection was shocking.
