Have just recontracted my FTTP 900mbit connection BT (£75pm(!)) to Sky (£42pm). Been really happy with the BT connection so fingers crossed Sky are as good.
Didn't end up cancelling today in the end, as they offered me the package for £76. Still a bit of an increase but I decided to take out broadband with them too, which is considerably cheaper than my BT broadband at the moment!
My fully-loaded (other than TNT sports) Sky Q package is going from a discounted £70.50 to £119.50 next month. I called and the best they could offer me was £105pm. It's just too expensive for what I use, which is the occasional football match or F1 race and the very occasional film - the rest...
That’s not quite right, as your mortgage wouldn’t have gone up by a proportional 2.02%. For a lot of people that could have doubled the interest charged on their mortgage.
Payrise will probably be in line with April inflation data, even though it wasn’t last year (as they said that high inflation was temporary - that’s not how it works if this year they give us a payrise based on annual inflation…).
Bonus of 10% expected.
My £69pm gigabit with BT is up in a couple of months, so you’ve given me some hope of getting a decent deal. I’m using 4 of their wifi disks too, which I’ve cabled up, so would prefer to stay with them if I can rather than buying my own mesh system.
Same here, with 2.5 years left on 1.09%. Will see what rates are when it comes to our next fix period and may just continue to ‘borrow’ at 3% or so to fund the S&S ISAs.
