Long shot but does anyone know what the silver pipe is in the first image with the hole worn in it? General area of above image(in gap top right of intake pipe) ) The aircon packed up last year even though it had been completely refreshed a year earlier as part of the head gasket recall...

I suppose it's completely expected from a business, you can not argue with it. As consumers just chuck any sort of loyalty away, I had none anyway so makes no odds to me.

Not had a single crash since upgrading to the 1200 so seems my old 750 was at it's limit. Also just had a response from my initial request to RMA my first faulty one with corsair directly...despite me referencing their own website/forum with the faulty batch info they've sent me some generic...

Would still be surprised at a 3080ti (at least this soon) as there's no performance gap between 3080 and 3090 to fit it into! I suppose there is a 'specs'/memory gap, but it's pointless stuff...currently.

Yea also got mine installed working fine. Ran a few benchmarks (9900k OC'd with a RTX3090) and the PSU fan didn't even come on where as on my HX750i it did come on using the same profile. That said I'll prolly adjust it to come on very lightly under heavy load to assist with cooling

duff batches are 2030XXXX to 2041XXXX Mine just turned up and is a 2052 so its effectively right of the production line.

Nice, won't be long as mines out for delivery by end of today. First thing I'll be doing is checking the batch number isn't in dud list.

Given your 7 week wait experience I've sent the HX1200i back to the rain forest rather than deal with corsair. Couldn't find a direct replacement in stock anywhere, found a AX1000 (none i) but not sure about that...

7 weeks that sucks. I could bin mine of straight back to rain forest land but no guarantee a replacement isn't from the same duff batch. No advice on what PSU to keep, I went corsair because I was replacing a HX750i and just wanted a PSU that would be compatible with existing cables.

Swapped the old PSU back in and all is well, requested direct RMA with CORSAIR although tempted to keep all the cables to sell on ebay to make up for wasting my time!

Also just upgraded to a HX1200i after having odd crash with my old HX750i since getting a 3090.....PC booted once now stuck in a loop of restarts....lot 2038xxxx from the rain forest place...

Sounds like they have accepted their mistake, good. The community/rivalry that has come out of this is disappointing to see.

It could be, I don't/haven't worked in the company so can't say for sure. I do work for a large utility company that everybody/the press hates. I've read so much inaccurate information about them that I've learnt to not judge on what I don't know. Undoubtedly nvidia is full of dedicated...
