Definitely - I only have a 32 inch TV so not too big a deal. Ran some side by side tests switching between the Roku and Apple TV on Now TV and Netflix and there was slightly less blockiness. XBMC on the Roku 3 would be great.

I tried the Roku 3 but went back to a jailbroken apple tv 2. XBMC is just so good and works really well with my basic Synology NAS, plus being able to switch to the native apple iOS when needed is useful. Didn't like the Plex app on the Roku, but 1080p Netflix was nice.

Yes, approx 60% battery drain over night - battery stats show it's maps and google+ so have disabled gps for now. Couple of freezes solved by removing battery. Other than that fine, but significantly more battery drain than before. I've really noticed the difference and surprised no one else has?
