The ONLY major store in the UK that let pre-paid back orders flood in to the thousands before finally stopping them, days/weeks after others did.
That led to them not being able to offer alternative cards to stuck 3080 queues like other retailers could and can.
Also, the quality of early...
Well its official - after a 5 month wait, my Asus 3080 TUF Non-OC is now in my machine.
Very, very glad to have my part in this fiasco over, and I plan on never returning to this store or its forums again.
Best of luck to all of you still waiting!
No, that is certainly not the case. You are in a specific queue for your specific model of card.
Depending on the production rate of your model, it is entirely possible for someone in position 200 of their queue to get their card before you do at position 75th.
Yeah, there were 20 expected last week and another 50 expected this week..
But does that 50 for this week include the 20 that was expected last week? Or is it as well as, for a total of 70?
It's a bit confusing, and I'm sure anyone in the sub 70 positions is dying to know whats happening.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. OCUK are the only major UK retailer that let backorders get up to the thousands before finally shutting them off.
There will be no general availability from OCUK for months, long after other retailers start releasing stock to buy.
I have been sitting in the ASUS 3080 NON-OC queue from hour 1.
If someone was to tell me, that after waiting for nearly 5 months that I'd then have to pay an extra 25% on top to get what I ORDERED AND PAID FOR ALREADY then that really is taking the absolute ****
I've been almost £700 down...
That's a pretty selfish attitude really.
Imagine a traffic jam on a dual carriage way, caused by a broken down lorry in one lane.
It would be considered poor form for everyone in the non-blocked lane to drive past the blocked lane side just because "its not our fault you chose to be in the...
OC just need to bite the bullet and move all ASUS TUF 3080 NON-OC cards in to the OC queue.
Just 'zipper' them in:
NON-OC position 1 = OC position 2
NON-OC position 2 = OC position 4
and so on.
ASUS is simply not producing anywhere near an acceptable level of the non-oc version, and people...
If those 60 Asus none-OC TUF cards turn up, I think a congratulations is in order!
Well done Asus! ... for clearing the first 30 mins worth of orders after 3 months. What an absolute joke.
Nope. OCUK will not honour it as theyve said via other channels (such as Discord).
So even though you have a receipt with it on, it doesn't mean jack apparently.
Is it false advertising at this point?
Remember when supply was supposed to ramp up in October and November and clear the back-orders by December?
Pepperidge Farms and the OCUK forum remembers.
The funny thing is, we all know that OCUK are keeping a close eye on what their competitors are doing - and how transparent and informative these companies are being with their customers - but are just fobbing us all off with irregular, vague and sometimes downright misleading information...
Its worth noting that there is a site (bolton based) that have updated their order / stock incoming to now show specific cards and not just the brand.
Check it out for some good info.
