If anyone is interested, i'm going to be riding this route on 2nd June if you want to join? https://ridewithgps.com/routes/2072981 Treating it like a very specific training day, before my event starts on 22nd June. For fundraising, i'm asking people if they are joining to try and get some...

You sound pretty similiar to me tbh, even same weight. I'm down to 75kg but I'm 6 foot 3. How do you feel about your top end power from doing all the base building? I was concerned but after getting back from Majorca from 2 rounds of base, I was smashing out some big watts with a relatively low...

Just completed getting the Tron bike and set a PB up Mount de Zwift of 65mins. I'm finding from all the zone 2 training that my heart rate is 10 to 20 beats lower for similar high end Watts, I averaged around 150 BPM going up, where normally I'd be 170. My legs however can't sustain the watts...

I wear these https://www.albioncycling.com/products/all-road-mens-abr1-pocket-bib-shorts-black After spending time wearing some more race style Santini bibs, I find the Albion's a more relaxed fit. Super comfortable and fine on all day rides.

Not that you asked but I like gravel style bib shorts with a thigh pocket. I don't use it on most rides, unless it's really casual and I don't have a top with pockets. It's handy for back and forth before I ride, especially when using a trainer.

I'll explain in more detail. You can do a 2 hour ride without fueling, assuming your muscles are well fueled beforehand. A banana whilst not enough carbs to properly maintain your energy levels for an extended effort, would get you close to 3 hours. As pointed out by someone else, you're not...

Take a banana and eat properly beforehand. 3 hours is only just getting into territory where you need to fuel, depending on intensity.

Today was around a 70km ride in to Ronda. Then back 140km and 1000m. Felt like I got my legs back after under fueling on the first day. Did some fun racing on the rolling hills with the other tour riders on the way back in the afternoon. Surprised by the second wind you get in the afternoon

We actually did the Puig Major today, descended towards Calobra and back into Pelenca. Really great day riding, good weather and amazing scenery. Loved the decent. Puig Major isn't overly steep, it just keeps going on. Especially after you've had around 70km ride in. Think my legs were drained...

At a training camp for the Tour 21 charity event I'm doing in 100days. We did a route that included Calobra yesterday, with 120km and 2000m of riding. Today is 170km with more elevation, I forget the route but can post later. You can see my training on my JustGiving at...

I use trz move to resize the windows https://zwifthacks.com/even-better-fix-for-trainerroad-minimal-mode-with-zwift/ I bought an ant+ dongle, so TrainerRoad connects via ant+ and zwift connects via Bluetooth, with resistance disconnected in zwift. Works really well.

Inspired by @Junglist I just did Ven-Top. Took 1 hour 52mins for the climb. I'll use it as a benchmark to see how my training is going. It didn't feel that bad, gradient never gets too steep. It just goes on for a long time but I'm gonna have to get used to much more than this...

I've alluded to this before but this summer I'm cycling the first week of the Tour de France, a week ahead of the main event. It's to raise money for Cure Leukaemia. If anyone is feeling charitable or wants to recognise how brutal it's going to be. I've got a Justgiving page setup.

Band of brothers. That's a great idea! I've got some long boring low zone rides ahead of me, so I think I'll join you.
