start off with 400 grit-600 grit-1000grit then polish if you want pretty/shiney finish like mine. make sure you use a piece of plate glass so as to get it perfectly flat.you can get all grades of paper from halfords and most diy places.

second that.

its all very well lapping the base of the coolers but in my experience you need to lap the cpu, they are terribly concave. i have had three and have lapped them all and gained 3-5 .c lower temps.

what!....just get a piece of plate glass, couple of sheets of 400,800 grit wet/dry and lap it till its flat.

they will create their own threads as you srew them in.......thats just what they do.

all depends on how concave the ihs is on them. my d805 was terrible. lapped it to within a thou of its life and knocked 20 degrees off the temps.

if you want to overclock that cpu you need to ditch the asrock board. get a ds3/4.

why 2 suction lines? you only need 1 unless you are going to cool something else with the other one. then you will need 2 evaps and 2 cap tubes and a more powerful compressor and a larger condensor. etc,etc,etc. johan, graymole,fatty,soddemfx all do really good custom units. a lot cheaper...

probably psu related in my experience. when the cpu and gpu are at high load the psu power rails are likely to drop and this could be the cause of your high pitch noise. try running speedfan and run a voltage graph during a game and see what the 12 volt and 5volt rails are giving.
