Yeah, and I used mflash. Easy as pie. Oh, but I did reset the CMOS first, using the two pins. No need to pull the battery out.

I just upgraded but left my 3600x in for now (my two year old won't let me finish the upgrade) and it's booted up just fine.

I was really hoping to make the jump to AMD this year, but this 6X00 series "launch" is such a joke I'm just going to stick with my 1080ti until I can get a 3080 at RRP, and recommend to everyone I know to do the same. Not that AMD cares, but I won't give them a chance again after this.

Unless you're playing MS Flight Sim 2020, then a 3600 will hurt you. (I have one)

I had a chance (it appeared, anyway) at 14:08, but I couldn't pull the trigger on the OCUK gouge. The last few launches have convinced me to use this forum as a resource, but to make all my future hardware purchases elsewhere.

At this point I'm surprised that any of you are surprised at these paper launches and that you have to wait ages for your orders to come through. This seems to be the new status quo with hardware releases, so why torture yourselves? Isn't it stressful constantly checking queues and chasing up...

I was planning to buy a 3080 prior to its release, but the disastrous launch and price gouging I've decided to no longer support Nvidia with my money. I'll be going AMD for the first time when they are released.
