I think there are still problems with the chiplets as they are right now, with the RDNA 2 the cards were released 20 days after they were announced, now there is a 40 days gap. Why do you need 40 days to bring some cards to the market? Either there are problems or Jensen already bought at least...
The reference card looks cool but it is most likely power limited so the only way to squeeze more performance is to get a 3x8 pins card from AIBs and hope you don't have to wait for custom tools to unlock more power this time.
6 years is also bs marketing i don't believe they worked on anything for 6 years.
As for FSR...it would have been in a lot more games if the marketshare was not already 80% in favour of Nvidia. But then again it may not have been open source either. :)
We need to understand how each of these...
That was some BS marketing right there. Knowing AMD it will be released in december 2023 and it will be below par.I don't believe they even started it yet and i have doubts they thought about it before Nvidia brought DLSS3. :)
For me FSR3 is a no go. While i accept that DLSS and FSR may offer better aliasing i am always for the native/true frames, i can't get my head thinking that paying to have fake frames inserted so that your card can look stronger than it is, can be a good thing. And when i move in a game i want...
Sorry i thought the 4090 is the only hardware right now to play RT games ar okish level, that's why i said the only way to RT only games was for Nvidia to sell 10 millions of them.
You gave yourself the answer in the comment but you still refuse to accept it: "Metro EE was a tech demo"
There is...
Nvidia selling at least 10 millions of their 4090s ( you should help them since you want RT only games so much ) and PC players spending a lot more money on games. That is the only way forward to RT only games. If there is a big enough market, there will be games. If there isn't a big enough...
You need to stop for a second and put everything in order: Sony and MS adding RT to all their games: Yes as long as they can do 30FPS on consoles or get a sponsorship for their release on PC? What is the game they brought or they will bring to PC without partenering with anyone, where they will...
Pushing RT meaning inserting a crapload of it so that it will have a huge performance impact. We have games like Metro EE where we could see a decent amount of RT that runs pretty well on Ampere and it will run pretty well on AMD new cards.
It is not the same thing when we talk about AMD asking...
That is dreaming to be honest. The only games pushing RT will be sponsored by Nvidia and most likely run like crap on your old card anyway. Because they don't want you to have the best visuals without opening your wallet every time.
And the truth is we can have almost an infinite number of...
But why praising a game if you don't get the best experience? What were you doing you stopped playing it and took screenshots at 5 FPS RT Psycho? Why not saying : the game runs like crap and i will wait for better hardware before playing it.
Why it was awesome back then but now the same level...
And it became unplayable on their old graphics card. They put hundreds of hours in cyberpunk playing it at crappy RT performance and told us how amazing that game is. :)
Why wouldn't they play these games if they get 3090 level of performance? 6 weeks ago that was still the premium performance you can get on RT games.
Not to mention many of these games are old titles the devs got some cash from Nvidia or AMD and try to help these companies sell more cards. I...
The card looks good viewed from the front. But viewed from the top it looks average, it only looks good when compared with the abdomination that is the 4090. If the AIBs will use the same giant ugly coolers for the 7900xtx, then we are heading in the right direction. :)
