Had an SVS PB12 now for a few years and everytime I use it I am impressed...
Previously had a BK Gemini II, and the two are clearly classes apart, but the SVS makes it look like a toy.
No love for the krups?
I quite like the idea of 2L subs as they're easier to prechill and after a few pints you can swap for something different?
What's the time for these from fridge to drinking? If the machine needs to cool extra?
So what's the verdict on the blade?
I see they all have benefits, and no doubt the machine quality increases as you go up in price, but the beer prices work out similarly.
I'd there I benefit to one over the other?
Sub, PD or blade?
Sorry to go off topic, but burtie I sent you a conversation about your fanatec wheel last night (not sure how that works and if you would get a notification)
Hi
I have an old Porsche 911 Turbo wheel, connects via a wireless key, and the original pedals broke.
I bought new CSL Elite pedals with an RJ12 to PS2 adapter (to connect to wheelbase) and was so excited.
Plugged it all together and the wheel works but the pedals (in the fanatec settings...
It's not great tbh and something I never had to deal with on my old mesh network, though that had 3 disks.
Hopefully it's more stable and I can plug another one I. To achieve the best of both, but I'm somewhat underwhelmed right now.
Edit: just tried splitting out the 5 and actually impressed...
Have to say my experience thus far is mixed.
Whilst I get a signal through the whole house it seems that my phone leaps from 5ghz to 2.4 quite frequently once I get a few metres away (wall in between). This then drops the 200mbps down to 8, which is frankly ridiculous.
Not checked other...
I've sorted it though appreciate the response!
I needed to create a uname/pass this then got saved and I can now access
No I'm using the unifi app as recommended by the quick start install guide.
So the device is setup and coverage is pretty good.
However I have a really annoying issue.
If I factory reset I can discover the unifi, and modify the ssid and WiFi settings.
Once the unifi reboots all my devices reconnect and and everything is good.
Except now i can't login to the AP...
Ordered a Unifi Long Range, which I'll lob on the landing ceiling and will see how it works.
Do you think the superhub 3 can route ok, or would I better using an old RT-AC66u for routing purposes with the superhub in modem mode? (WiFi off in both instances).
Fingers crossed
Edit: follow-up...
so following a quick site recce ;) i could easily get ethernet to the roof of my landing, and could probably get an ethernet to the location that needs it, so it's feasible, just need to figure out if it's worth the aggro for more stability and at least as good coverage and speed. Honestly I'm...
Thanks gents, not the magic bullet i was hoping it seems - the management aspect is nice for fiddling, but i want to set and forget.
The 160mbps is pretty ok for our needs - the biggest stresser is throwing 4k UHD rips around, and as my OLED tv has a stupid 100mbps port we're good! Rest is...
Ok thanks. Wiring externally isn't difficult, I just don't want to externally show cables as the house is somewhat period in nature. Its a preference to not as opposed to a requirement.
I am ok chucking money at it, internet (so wifi) is a utility nowadays, and if the frustration goes away...
It's not massive (4 bed) but was built in the 1920s so does have "proper" brick walls that seem to suck up 5ghz... (but again based upon consumer gear standards).
Any noise on the future success and support of UniFi stuff linked to the threads i read? Support staff leaving, customers beta...
Thanks I do switch off router wi-fi, but only have the first mesh point connected with to the router. The rest use wifi.
HOWEVER access points, in my experience (again maybe cheapies), struggled handing off a connection when it got weak when another AP is stronger. Do these manage that...
So please don't shoot a Ubiquiti n00b, but i need to ask some basic questions.
I am tired of my home quality kit (BT WholeHome Mesh wifi and superhub3 router) having dropped connections or laggy pauses here and there. It's not terrible, but when it fails, which is usually each day for a minute...
