DPD updated their plans and the card has just been delivered, I can now confirm it is indeed a LHR version.
Funny, it seems like an anti-climax now its finally turned up.
Wishing you folks on here the very best of luck in getting your cards, hopefully your patience will be rewarded.
Bill out.
Wow... received shipping notice yesterday for my MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ventus 3X OC 10GB, I believe it is a LHR version (no extra charge) but cant confirm this as it hasn't been delivered yet.
Now the bad news... when I track the package on the DPD site I get this:
"There is currently a 1 day...
Surely its hard to disagree with this rational @ScottiB The **** storm is coming your way anyway, so why not take the edge off it by keeping the queue. The decent thing to do would be to give people their money back, keep the queue and charge for the product, at whatever the price is, when it...
Good alternatives. @ScottiB , @Gibbo Why did you not go for "Fee to upgrade to the Gaming Z Trio whilst maintaining queue position"? That would keep customers happy (or happier) and your order book full. What can be wrong with that?
Agree fully on both counts. Surely the bubble will have to burst soon though, such an incredible power consumption can not be infinitely scalable. That said, the need for control... that's the biggie.
Queue position 8 for Ventus 3080 (needed for FS not mining)
I feel your pain. I am on a parallel path, position 8 for MSI Ventus 3080. Both Eagle and Ventus may not be extinct, but scarce is not the word.
All we can do is wait.
@ScottiB As one grumpy old man to another, I can't disagree with one word. 30 years ago I worked for a major Japanese semiconductor manufacturer and the culture there was very similar. I remember production lines in UK being stopped because of shortages on certain parts. Where in the world had...
For those waiting for MSI 3080 Ventus, I asked MSI again why they are not shipping these cards and here is the answer:
"We expect changes in the situation in the upcoming months"
Upcoming months! Helpful or what.
I cant believe what is happening to you guys, that sort of delay is very hard to justify. I ordered some flight sim parts from Virpil Controls in Vinius, Latvia on 24 Feb by DHL and they were delivered yesterday 2 March. I received a VAT bill by email when the package was in transit which I paid...
I think if the cancellations were removed it would be completely flat since 13 Nov. My own position has changed from 22 to 13 since 13 Nov, so I show a reduction of 9 whereas you show a reduction of 17, so that's definitely 8 cancellations and of the 9 that I am showing probably at least 4 of...
I am no expert either, but I think you are right, its ASICs for Bitcoin and GPUs for Ethereum at present, but it changed from GPU to ASIC for Bitcoin as the mining hash rate difficulty increased, and the same is happening to Ethereum.
It seems that GPUs end up costing more in electricity that...
That may be true now, but, the speed with which you can mine Ethereum depends on the hash rate of the mining rig and the continuously changing difficulty level. The latest Nvidia RTX 3090 has a hash rate of 120, whereas an ASIC hardware Innosilicon A10 Pro has a hash rate of 500. The guys using...
Maybe not, but check this out https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/mining/hardware/ Looks like the game has become so competitive that ASICs is the only way to go.
So no MSI Ventus cards being shipped, but MSI MEG Aegis Ti5 Gaming PC is available and it contains a RTX3080 card. Wonder if that's where they are going? Wouldn't think they need RGB on the GPU as the box lights up like a Christmas tree on the outside.
