Yikes, that's not great. Lucikly the 27GN850 I bought as a stop gap has none. I thought it was pretty rare on panels these days to get dead pixels. Last one I had was a direct from Dell and they swapped it immediately for 1 dead pixel.

Yeh I tried to get one of those too, as I was torn with the GP950 or the GP850. I got my GN850 today and really happy with it, such great colours and while its a step behind the GP850 its at least available and with some discounts I managed to get it for £270 so I will just save a few more...

I decided to get the the 27GN850 (1440p, old model) for £270 from a competitor and will just wait till the GP950 gets more stock, then use the GN as a second monitor. I can't keep going with 2x 1920x1200 monitors.

Yeh it's tough I ultimately need 2 screens so did wonder if a GL/GN850 was worth it for a stop gap and then as a second screen once 2021 stock arrives although I have a gut feeling it will be 2022 by then. Not sure I can justify 2x2021 screens.

Is the older GN850 worth buying as a stop gap until this market actually sees supplies of the new monitors?

When I did a comparison the things I found missing were G-Sync and concerns over colour gamut. I know Nvidia GPUs to are supposed to work with Freesync but, also have read the colour gamut is weaker on the gigabyte which puts me off more than the lack of G-Sync. These may be the the reasons...

The 4K model GP950 is exactly the same, low supply, no stock anywhere either. I've looked at buying either the 1440p or 2160p variant but, no availability on either model for weeks and when it does drop it's instantly out of stock. Like yourself 32" is too big for me.

By the time this thing gets into decent stock levels it will be getting replaced by a new GQ model......

Would this cooler be upto the job of replacing my HIS IceQ3 solution on my X1900XT because the fan has developed an annoying 'rattle'. Also does anyone know if overclockers will be stocking the 'Turbo Module' dual fan kit for this cooler? Cheers, Mike

According to tft central, this uses the same Samsung panel as the Dell 2407WFP so not sure its going to be an improvement and its a lot more expensive by the looks of it.... Mike

Considering upto 1920x1200 is "single link" I would use the DVI cable which comes with the monitor (if one does), no need to spend anymore money on an expensive DVI cable. Mike
