I watched the stream of him buying the card and he was chuffed and relieved when the payment went through. It was his community that actually paid for it with the promise of doing his best to obtain one for testing.
He was truthful about what the email said but just didn't think more cards...

at current prices.. the future is bleak.
It exists and is more representative of future high fidelity gaming experiences than other last gen titles, it's not the only example as you well know. Future proofing is a fools errand but expecting to be able to play the latest titles using the latest features for a year isn't a big ask when...
AMD have bragged about low production costs, good yields comes as a granted from chiplets, they could release at the same pricepoint (inc infaltion) as last gen - from what I gather - make RTX3000 obselete and steal the show.. or more profit.
ROFL, they dropped prices because they didn't have a choice, i'm dreading the fact that they could again match NV price for raster performance on launch.. eg.£929 7800XT
Nvidia can kiss my hairy bum. They've spent 5 years pushing raytracing and now the tec can likely actually do it at decent framerates they make it unavailable for the average gamer, scum move, I really hope there's a consumer boycott.
Anyone think AMD won't follow suit ?
I'll be looking at RDNA3, if AMD try pulling the same crap with pricing and segmentation i'll be letting my PC's go EOL and getting few next gen consoles when they release. Utterly disgusted and dissappointed with Nvidia.
They have announced an announcement for 19th Sept, if that's the launch then were likely looking at 5th/12th Oct release for 4090.. so likely get the 4080 in Dec, uless they release them together. God knows how supply is going to be.
