No, you just end up with a very good copy of a 128kbps file. You can't improve the quality by converting to a higher bitrate from a lower bitrate.

If you're happy with PCs in general then you may as well stick with them. You don't HAVE to buy a Mac if you don't want to of course. No point trying to get a Mac just for the sake of having one :) Personally I'm delighted with mine though :D

Just hold shift then click the last item you need and it will select all of the inbetween items. This works when you have the items in list view rather than displayed as icons.

What is the difference between Penryn chips and what we have now?

I use Firefox and pick one font to use exclusively. I use Tahoma and it shows up like this: Looks fine to me. Windows fonts look very skinny now. Try choosing a few different fonts until you find something you're happy with :)

It was fully charged when I updated it. I'm 100% sure of that. I think it's drained overnight somehow and I've finally been able to reset it. Someone had a similar problem on the Apple Discussions board.

Ohhhh, thank God, it's back from the dead. I eventually reset it and then it said: I plugged the charger in. Looks the firmware update didn't finish as it changed to this progress bar: Then it restarted: And we're back in business :)

My 160Gb Classic appears to have died after updating this firmware :mad:

I'll d/l it later and try it out.
