Can't stretch to either of the above monitors but need to know what is the next best thing, will go up £300 ish. would like 1920x1200 as I currently have a 1600x1200 Dell 2007fp and I don't want to lose any height.
cheers and happy new year

I have a brother mfc-465cn which works great on through the ethernet but i'd like to move it somewhere where it won't be able to reach my router. what do I need to buy for this to work, is it a wireless access point or a print server.
cheers

I've just re-installed windows for my nephew and I can't for the life of me get windows to find the onboard sound, I've tried the cd that came with the motherboard, downloaded the drivers from the MSI site and still it doesn't find it. It's enabled in the bios and a PCI device is found on boot...
I'm messing around with bioses on my old X1950pro and I want to make a boot disc that'll do a blind flash if I happen to get something wrong. I've read that it includes editing autoexec.bay and putting it on a floppy with the original bios. but what I need to know is what do I put in...
if you're interested this was the response I got after sending the pictures to Thermalright inTaiwan:
Dear Justin,
The heatsink base are designed to be convex to combat the concaveness of the CPU. From what you described we thought we would see something worse than what you showed in the...
thanks for your responses, from what you're saying I think I'll stay away from Thermalright for a while. The cost of me sending it back to Taiwan seems to be a false economy. I think I'll try writing another email with lots of capital letters to see if anything comes of it.

I'm currently in dispute with Thermalright about whether the Thermalright IFX-14 should have a flat base or not, they say it doesn't have a flat base to allow for something or another, are they talking crap? The reason I noticed was after installing it the temps on two of my cores on my Q6600...
I'm thinking of upgrading a little from my X1950 to a HD3850, I'm only a part time gamer and I don't have a lot of cash. The Gainward HD 3850 at OCUK seems an absolute bargain, will I see a reasonable boost in performance? Anyone know how loud they are?
cheers

yep, it's prime stable but I've only tested it for about 2 hours or so, it's rock solid whilst in windows, it's just this reboot thing. will try lowering the clock a bit to see how it goes.
cheers

I'm having a very annoying problem that only happens after a shutdown or a reboot. I normally run at 400x8 = 3200mhz and whats happening is sometimes after a reboot or warm boot the bios changes to 266fsb which brings the cpu speed down to 2.13ghz (8x266). from then on whatever setting I put in...
