Sainsburys do a rhubarb and chilli jam which is fantastic, produced using forced rhubarb from Yorkshire. Brilliant with loads of things but my favorite is a cliched plate of nice cheese and ham.
I got married in SF at the Palace of Fine Arts - beautiful place. Pier 49 is cool and Fisherman's Wharf as has been said. A trip to see Alamo Square park to see the painted ladies is great. Golden Gate Park is well worth a visit, especially the Japanese tea garden. If you've got a good few...
Has anyone tried these? I did some pork ribs in the 'Smoky BBQ' bag that they do and left them in for 2 hours on a slightly lower temperature than specified. When they came out I pasted on some BBQ sauce fairly thickly with a pastry brush and finished them under the grill. The results were...
I've been managing projects in an IT setting for a while now and it's difficult to recommend Prince2 as a way of opening doors to this kind of career. I've got practitioner but what i find is that you are often led by the amount of structure that a customer is willing to buy into. If Prince2...
My favourite pasta salad is dead simple. Cook some pasta, drain it and stick it back over a very low heat. Stir in a jar of decent pesto. Chuck in a decent amount of frozen peas. Add a couple of good handfuls of spinach and stir until it's wilted and the peas are cooked through. Really nice...
It's not Michelin starred or anything but me and my wife ate at Ohana restaurant in the Polynesian restaurant at Disneyworld. The food is served on a kind of rotating basis where servers come round with these big grilled skewers of meats and seafoods. When you've had enough you can have...
People who drive at 5 miles an hour under the speed limit right up until a traffic light at amber, they then jump through just as it's turning to red.
And the old favorite of 2 trucks driving next to each other on the motorway, love it. :)
Admittedly I may have gotten carried away a bit with the absolutely brilliant but the only thing I had to compare it to was a 90bhp C3 that seemed to be made out of plastic :D
After posting a while back to ask for opinions on what I should replace my Citroen C3 with I ended up going for the Leon 1.9 TDI SE. Absolutely brilliant car, mint inside and out with 35k on the clock. I didn't know if going for the leather interior would be pointless but after a month of...
Cool thanks, was hoping there would be a good alternative to the A3 and I definitely like the looks of the Leon. Will be hopefully going looking for test drives this weekend so will have a try. Thanks for the help :)
I'm after a hatchback or coupe, have tried an A3 1.9 TDI and thought that was an amazing difference to the C3 but not sure if there are any decent alternatives. :)
