Good choice in building your own, best of luck with it. As others have said there is plenty of help and advice on here if you get any issues. Just a qucik tip when building, don't be afraid to take your time, don't rush it!! ;)

It sounds like a graphics card issue to me mate, probably an idea to RMA the card.

I didn't realise that it was o'clocked out of the box, but it sounds to me like its been clocked too far and can't cope as stated above.

Sounds like it could be a possible driver issue, but if your getting artifacts on the screen that would suggest hardware. When the machine exits the game, does it restart or just go back to Vista? [edit: just seen about Vista!] Have you got any overclocking going on? - Artefacts can be caused...

I have tested it with headphones, all I was checking the BIOS was for any settings that needed to be turned on to enable onboard audio. I've just got some cheapo case at the moment, unfortunatley I needed a new computer and would rather spend more on the other areas, and save for a case later...

I've a leadtek tv card that came with a remote, this gives you the option of turning the PC on or off, even if the TV app. is not running. At the moment I am unable to get this to fully work with Vista, it brings up the screen to choose whether to shut down/radio/TV etc. but when I press OK...

I'll have a mess with the RAM, do you think that it may be a PSU issue as I couldn't afford a new one when building the PC and am using the standard one that came in this cheapy case.

Tried booting this morning from cold and I am still getting this issue, it would appear that the new BIOD upgrade has not worked. Does anyone else have any other ideas!?!?!?! Thanks Dan

Sorry I updated after you said, so will wait until the morning to see if this resolves it, when I updated previously F7b was not available so fingers crossed! ;)

I've just upgraded to F7b, the only problem is this issue only arises when the system is booting from cold, so I won't be able to test this until the morning!! Thanks! ;)

When I press the power button on my PC, it seems to start up, but I get no beeps. I then have to press the reset button to get it to boot, I get one beep and all is well and it boots fine. Anyone any ideas? Apologies my spec is in my sig :)

Well fingers crossed that this is now sorted, hasn't happened for about 5 hours now, so fingers crossed. I've had to move the reciever really close to the mousemat mind, which seems to have defeated the object of having a wireless mouse!

I've moved the reciever around, I've changed the USB ports - and removed and replaced it from the same port, still no joy. I've downloaded SetPoint from the sigh yesterday, version 4.24.99 so I am guessing that this is the latest one. I'd be suprised if the mouse has had it, mid I have had it...
