    Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Thinking of selling my 2007 197. It has 75,000 on the clock. Belt/waterpump was done at about 65,000 when I bought it a year ago. I'm putting too many miles on it (commuting). It'll be worthless in another couple of years at this rate! Any idea what sort of price is reasonable at the moment...

Virgin Media (TV, Broadband and phone)

Oh, I wasn't expecting a deal that good! Just hoping to perhaps get some premium channels without paying too much more than what I already pay!

Virgin Media (TV, Broadband and phone)

Has anybody got a particularly "good deal" with Virgin Media? I'm paying about £70 a month for XL TV (no sports or movies), 50Mb and basic phone line. I want to ring them up and negotiate a better deal (incorporating Sky Movies and Sports packages), but I want to use an "I know someone who is...

    dacia taking scotland by storm

Not Scottish myself, but I am slightly irked by some of the comments in this thread. Is bashing people from other countries when they're not around to defend themselves the done thing here these days? I'd like to see any of you call a Scot "cheap" to their face.

My average is now up to 27MPG! Woo!

    Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I think it's mainly down to the gearing. 6th is too short. Mine is an 07 car though. I understand the newer ones had a longer 6th for cruising.

    Who here owns a Renaultsport?

FYI I'm getting 26.5 mpg in my 197, and that includes a lot of sensible motorway driving. Done about 700 miles now so I can't see it going up by much.

    Neighbour going through wheelie bin

The Act handily fails to define Harassment, but FYI it's behaviour which causes alarm or distress. Edit: it is a criminal offence under that Act, by the way, so perhaps try the police again. Though it might not warrant any sort of action unless he gets mega nutty. (Plod will invariably dismiss...

    Neighbour going through wheelie bin

You need to document everything he does and has done. Approach a solicitor, give them the list and ask them to send a friendly letter citing the Protection from Harassment Act. It'll cost you about £50 perhaps, but it might be worth it to give him a scare.

    Commercial property solicitors

Denying something you've said out loud is one thing, but attempting to deny it when it's permanently recorded a few posts above is something else! Let's face it, the only thing Robbie G has is personal attacks.

    Commercial property solicitors

Sorry, "thick as two short planks" is not a synonym for idiot? And yeah, I'm a secretary. You got me! But yeah, top quality, mature posting. I suppose with 20,000+ posts they can't all be winners!

    Commercial property solicitors

Interesting. A shortsighted generalisation of an entire profession followed by passive aggression, followed by straight out calling someone an idiot.

    Commercial property solicitors

Ask the solicitors what they do? You're paying them, they're obliged to tell you! How would we know? Hell, I AM a solicitor and I don't know what they're going to do for you because I only know what you've told me in the OP, which isn't much! But FYI, a solicitor isn't usually "pinickity" to...

    Commercial property solicitors

Then... Don't instruct a solicitor? I'd like the peace of mind, personally, but if you're confident about the lease, why are you even asking?!

    Commercial property solicitors

As has been said already, you're paying your solicitor for peace of mind. They'll ensure everything is above board and you understand everything. If anything goes wrong, you can sue them for professional negligence. That's why you pay them so much. Of course, you could always take the risk and...

    Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Hey guys. So I bought a 197... Few questions regarding a bit of work that needs doing. It's heading into the garage on Friday. First, the brakes are spongy and I'm guessing it needs new pads. The disks seem fine. The wipers only seem to go one speed - slow. So I'm guessing they're either...
