I am using Schwalbe Pro One Evo on my ride, they were redesigned to be easier to install and must admit it was the easiest tyre change I have ever done. My mate has GP5000 on the same carbon rims and spent a couple hours fitting them.

I went for one of those too as seemed a good price. Pleased with it so far and looked brand new. Feels a good upgrade over my Tacx Vortex but not had too much chance to use it so far but with the rain forecast next week will get a few sessions on it.

They had but looks like they brought it back. GME could go bad for some, big drop now.

Seems I sparked an AMD vs NVIDIA style conversation. The black unit came back in stock at Wahoo so have one arriving next week as seemed the better product based on my research and my use for a bike computer. My bike came with a cadence and speed sensor, is there any value in using a speed...

Useful information and aligns with what I have read, both seem a good option but Wahoo has better battery life, comes with a mount and is cheaper. It seems like ride with gps can give the turn by turn routing as TCX file but most routes are saved as GPX but if the navigation works well thats all...

I am currently looking at getting a Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt or a Garmin Edge 530. I am leaning towards the Bolt due to the better battery life (when back in stock) but it seems it mainly works using breadcrumb navigation instead of turn by turn, I am struggling to find much information about the pros...

What do you carry with you and how?

Has anyone ever lost anything out of their jersey pockets? I always used to ride with a phone mount on my bike but haven't done that on my new bike as just been putting keys and my phone in my jersey pockets (most have no zips) but quite wary of doing so. Useful thread as succumbed to n+1 and...

If you do workouts in Zwift select the Alpe or hilly courses and that will help you towards the Tron as well. I managed to get it under a year but remain active on Zwift all year round as on a weeknight I find it a lot easier to jump on and get a structured workout.

I am also using a triple on my Vortex and if you are getting that far in the ramp you need to be in the large ring, I also experienced a similar issue when on the mid ring. I only ever use the large ring now for erg mode. Although its strange your Vortex smelt the only time I had an issue with...

I have a Vortex and first couple of times I connected to Zwift I had issues too, turned out the trainer was still connected via bluetooth to my phone when using the Tacx app. So make sure to kill the app on your phone if you have calibrated the trainer and then you won't have any issues. With...

It’s not an available “guest world” yet so can only ride it on events with the course selected, you can use Zwift hacks to see which events are running it. Over the weekend Zwift had events every 30minutes.

Ironically I had a mechanical as my gear cable snapped so was stuck in 50-11 before the hill climb even started, wanted to try and beat my first attempt of 20:37.

Finished the tour today, thought it was a good event and looking forward to the next one. Shame they removed the leaderboards for most of the stages but was back on again today for stage 9...good motivation to keep pushing to the end.

Ride on! That is an impressive effort! What was your fueling strategy? As Strava shows an estimated 7.4k calories for that effort! Yep the Vortex over reads when comparing to other spin bikes/watt bike I use but what counts for me is that the watts are going up over time in Zwift and my weight...

Didn't know about this site, just signed up as the in game leader board appears to have been turned off for the TDZ now. I know they aren't a "race" but I find it good motivation to keep pushing to maintain/gain places! After having a fail with my Vortex on Stage 3 and not having it calibrated...

There is a Wahoo climbing challenge currently, that should help you make some progress towards the Tron bike and you also get a chance to win some Wahoo gear. I am only 20% of the way towards the Tron bike so a lot of climbing left to do, but only started Zwifting 6 weeks ago. Currently level 9...

That came with my Tacx Vortex (the bundle was cheaper than anywhere else selling just the trainer alone) and have had no issues so I can recommend it, but it does seem expensive compared to alternatives but gets good feedback.

I got one from Decathlon with gel and it seems slightly better in some ways and also trying to stand up more regularly so both of those things have helped. But from what I have read it seems hard to find the right saddle. I am still quite new to having regular time in the saddle as well so I am...
