When are you going fully electric?

They said they should be doing v3 units much quicker than that but wanted a longer deadline to give them time to roll it out to older v2 units (like mine).. Mind you, it's not massively going to help, but hopefully it won't take 10-30 minutes to figure out the car is charging before it stops...

When are you going fully electric?

Since Hypervolt announced Enphase and Kraken integrations the other week, is this still true? I like the expansive myenergi eco-system but that comes at a reasonable cost, my neighbour has a zappi and had to buy a 'hub' to get OTA firmware updates and it doesn't play nicely at all with his...

    S2000 owners advice

Sure, a bit more 'black' in places for contrast would be perfect, but over all black, I'd take that any day.. The red/grey colour combo is one of the best IMO, definitely something I'd pay a premium for.. when I was looking at AMV8 roadsters, one was in Tungsten Grey with a Crimson full...

The 50k 10 Year Project / Show Car

If you can do this for £50k, then this: This looked epic in the flesh. (and 0.5 bonus points if you can spot the celeb in under 30 seconds lurking in the picture)

    Joining a startup

My observation is how do you think you will fill the ever morphing role of CEO/CTO as it goes from Seed to Series A and possibly Series B/C etc? i.e. your "Whilst I’m not a product manager I am very good at developing ideas and turning them into highly viable prototypes. This is basically my...

    Career advice?

At least he has a LinkedIn account: https://www.linkedin.com/in/joseph-davidson-b2b4161a1/ The world is your oyster.. I'd personally recommend CERN, broad range of roles and they lap up grads like this.. a good chance to get out of the UK (you'll soon find the UK is not what you think it is)...

    Looking into V8 Mustang's 2018-onwards

This is good insight! And possibly why I prefer convertibles.. the E46 M3 was 'fun' just tootling around roof down with the odd blip.. and I get that same visceral mix of roof down / occasional blip in the Mustang.. Oddly though, the 10R80 box in 'S' mode is what actually gives it some...

When are you going fully electric?

Saw the new Ford Explorer at the Mustang 60th event on the weekend, actually looked quite nice, considering its based on the MEB platform, the infotainment looks massively better than the VW offerings, and the size is about right for a family, not stupidly big.. No test drives allowed when I...

    Blank Canvas Home Cinema Build

Some good advice in this thread! From my perspective and experiences Light control - paramount, the biggest improvement you can make to the IQ is light level: 1. Provision for proper black out blinds, I can recommend BlocBlinds, they do ones with side channels and have brushes in those, and on...

    Looking into V8 Mustang's 2018-onwards

Unless you want an auto, get the manual... The 10 speed auto is not bad, in sport modes it has very quick/sharp gear changes, and in manual mode it's passable for being engaging, but if you don't mind manuals, that is just always more engaging and direct. I had a few blips with a few...

    Looking into V8 Mustang's 2018-onwards

I’ve recently got a 2020 ‘55 Edition’ V8 Convertible. In terms of spec, really the main considerations are: (best to get at least the first option pack, but there are things to know) 1. Magne ride (adaptive suspension) is an option - non Magneride cars from my test drives are a bit bouncy, not...

Fears Sadiq Khan will bring in pay-per-mile road taxes after spending £3m on project

When are you going fully electric?

Have you not noticed how many cars you fly by when you go up Halden Hill? I went up last Friday morning and passed 30+ cars, in fact by the top the speed differential is often a bit much if you are maintaining the speed limit. There has to be many reasons for this, a combination of: 1. Not...

When are you going fully electric?

It's just the inevitable Torque curves of EV vs ICE and having no gearbox.. e.g. (ignore the absolute values, just the shape) That and the gearbox with fixed gears means that you have more 'modulation' of the throttle to contend with in an ICE car in general.. i.e. on a very steep hill you...

Fears Sadiq Khan will bring in pay-per-mile road taxes after spending £3m on project

He talks sense, where do we sign up? It turned from a well meaning clean air policy in the centre of london that addressed pollution, to a cash grab.. the impact on pollution in the expanded zones will only have a marginal effect not to mention it's already within accepted levels of pollution...

    Yellowstone

The Bro-in-law mentioned this on the weekend and was amazed I'd not watched it.. so whilst I still have paramount + I fired it up and have binge watched S1/S2 this week! It might be due to watching it in my home cinema setup (Projector, large screen) that helps immerse you a bit more, but it's...

Simple, all covered above: 1. They should have replaced your 2008 adobe acrobat pro a long long time ago.. 2. You have insinuated from the pricing you offered that they will buy you a standalone licence for Nitro 14.. this will soon become out of date and evidenced by some of your colleagues...

Who said you violated your own IT policies? I'm saying your IT policies don't align with "best practices" other orgs use.. Simple as.. And also, stop digging a hole, using 16 year old software that is well out of date with many documented CVEs is also questionable.. :D
