how noisy is it? I read reviews and people say it is noisy but some that it is not... Arctic Cooling Silencer 64 Ultra seems quiet according to reviews...

it is nice but about 15 quid more expensive than those I mentioned above. It is not a big deal if you are buying only a CPU and a cooler but I am upgrading a great deal of my PC (motherboard, video card) and buying some accessories so I am over my budget with it :( thanks anyway...

I usually buy OEM versions. So now I am choosing between Arctic Cooling (AC-ALP-64) Alpine 64 CPU Cooler and Arctic Cooling Silencer 64 Ultra Socket 754/939/940 CPU Cooler. I guess they are cheap but should be ok for Athlon 64 3000+ 939. any comments?

what does "stock cooler" mean?

I have currently AthlonXP 2200+ processor with Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 2 Tc cooler. Now I am buying Athlon 64 3000+ 939. Should I buy a new cooler or I can use the 2TC I currently have?

I have been using Ubuntu on my laptop (Nec) for more than 6 months and I am very happy. It;s not a dual-boot since Ubuntu suffice all my computer needs. The only thing which does not work is a card reader on enu chip. But it does not work regardles what disto you use.
