yeah fair enough. The rules are there to protect everyone right. thats what makes the MM safe to trade in.
I will try to make sure i remain within the rules, when i repost.
OK Fair enough.... it is what it is.
I have just spoken to my father and negotiated a fair sale of the item to myself. I will now re-list the item.
Thanks for the input guys
i dont really understand... I am in possession of the thing that I am selling.
My dad has given it to me and i am selling it. I have two previous sales of a similar item in my trust, so i thought i was being helpful by explaining.
I understand why the rule exists... so that people dont try to...
I have a post in the ForSale forum which got closed due to me mentioning i was selling my dads ipad. The mod closed it because i must be in possession of the goods.
I am already in possession of the goods and i am personally ready to ship them as soon as they sell. The only reason i mentioned...

I want to upgrade my shiny new aluminum imac. It comes with a 1GB single stick and i want to add another gig. Would another single (crucial) gig stick be compatible or do i need a matched pair?
I was thinking of getting of getting a cheap £30 upgrade to 2gigs now and then whacking 4 gigs in...
yeah i guess what i was really asking was hiw likely is it not to run dual channel if i buy two singgle sticks rather than a dual channel kit?
I am not sure if i am asking a "ow long is a piece of string" question or not here!!!
i have read previously that dual channel is not possible with an odd number of DIMMS.
If i buy a 2GB matched pair of geil sticks it'll cost me £82 wheras i can get hold of 2x1Gb (not a matched kit) of either kingston or corsair for £50.
My question: is the extra £30 going to be worth it...
