My folks bought this for the kids room at their house. It’s really decent for the cash and the...
100% this. While I didn’t go quite as far as measuring milk in my hot drinks (switched from latte to americano which knocked that on the head), I properly weighed out my carbs and over the course of six months completely reset my idea of portion size. As @AndyCr15 has said, you soon get a good...
Get a Camelbak or equivalent. I got one to go with a Dakine Heli skiing rucksack and can’t believe I used to ski without one. It’s been used for cycling and walking too. Bit small for the full three course picnic though…
@EddScott - the main decision is whether you want a track focused car or not. The GT4 would be amazing, but I worry you’d need padded shorts to use it day to day. Depends what your intended use is.
Edit - while I think my dream would be a GT3, I wonder if I’d get tired of it being so stiff and...
Agreed, although I do find that a post gym (or during) gym protein shake stops me from snacking wildly and usually tides me over until I can eat properly. Most progress was made by strict calorie counting for me.
Starting to feel like I am finally getting over months of relentless nursery...
Burger night!
A better view of the internal structure (Sainsbos TTD burger, grilled halloumi, fried onion, tomato, jalapeño and homemade habanero hot sauce)
*McCain oven fries and corn on the cob not pictured.
We’ve got a massive amount of glazing on our north facing extension. The light is amazing and a real bonus as you say is that is doesn’t turn into a hot house in the summer. Even in the 40’C heat we were ok. Below freezing we start to need a lot of heating, but that’s a reasonable trade off I think.
We’re NNW facing and that tiniest hint of West really helps with evening sun. A lot depends on the garden size, how much it’s overlooked and how surrounding trees and hedges are. We lose the sun at the back of our garden quickly due to high hedges. That’s a bonus due to the privacy it affords...
The internet would always say to go for the GTS. They both sound like good cars with nice spec. Tempting to spend the £1500 difference on V-Power and servicing. Alternatively choose the one you like the colour of best!
Urgh… why does grant writing require so much chocolate? :(
Going to see whether wine is a more calorie efficient method of enhancing productivity over the weekend
Had my roof replaced with a red one from Jack Smith trimmers. I thought it looked great against moonrock!
Mine was a 2007 though and has higher mileage (also non-GT, but black interior). I checked the MOT history and it would appear to be on the road still with the higher mileage. I wouldn’t...

Micro plastics found in arterial plaques. Scary stuff really!
If the house is secure and weathertight, get rid of the builder straight away. If you’ve got a list of minor things to sort out, hire independent trades to do it at your convenience. Hopefully you’ve got a small amount of case that you’re not paying the builder with that you can use.
Got there...
