    Amazon Prime Day

Aye, I have all coloured bulbs, with the Prime Day discount I could not see a reason not to. Even so I have B22 in hall, landing, bathroom and a triple B22 fitting in the bedroom. I don't think the light throw of the GU10s would suit the hall and landing with only a single bulb in each. With the...

    Amazon Prime Day

Quite happy, but mine are installed in triple light fittings with 6 bulbs total in my lounge. I need them dimmed most of the time. I can also get some pretty awesome lighting effects by mixing colours.

    Amazon Prime Day

Got 4 Hue starter kits, 2 GU10, 2 B22. This completes my installation and leaves me with 4 redundant Hue bridges lol.

    Tower block fire - london

I agree with the above. The regs are as they are partially because of a previous history of failed prosecutions with respect to higher management and corporates. CDM has really shaken up the construction industry for the better. I am not cynical I am just realistic about the far reaching scope...

    Tower block fire - london

I deal with CDM as a manager on large construction projects. What you have to keep in mind with the CDM regs is that they were designed with the view to allow for successful procecutions of those higher up the food chain. The scope is almost without limit if you can be shown to have the blame...

    Tower block fire - london

Thats not a question for me but could be a question for the courts to decide. ;)

    Tower block fire - london

CDM regs are blind with respect to the origin of pertinant information, that could have been taken into account at the design stage.

    Tower block fire - london

Several examples of building fires where cladding is in question can be googled in Dubai and other Arab countries. Dependant on the timeline this could present as a foreseeable risk.

    Tower block fire - london

It is all speculation at the moment. My point is just that "we complied with the regs mate" cannot necessarily be used as a defence in law.

    Tower block fire - london

Regardless whether building regs were complied with, prosecutions can be brought under CDM Regs if it is deemed reasonably foreseeable that fire could spread on the outside of the building due to the cladding. As this has happend elsewhere with this type of cladding the reasonably foreseeable...

A penalty charge notice in Redbridge.

In terms of the contravention it looks like you have no appeal. Any appeal would need to be based on paperwork or process. There used to be many issues with PCNs issued under LLAs by many London Authorities, but not sure if that is still the case, I have not looked at any PCNs for a while...

    electric heater for camping

Take a look at something like LOGIK L15CFS10 Ceramic Fan Heater. It does not get red hot so should be fairly safe with kids. I have the previous model and it keeps an 8 person tunnel tent toasty warm when required.

    ***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

Mine arrived over a week ago. I made a post about it in the previous thread. The day it dropped through my letterbox the tracking was still showing it as at the destination airport.

My SXK Kayfun V5 clone just arrived from FastTech. First impressions are that the build quality is excellent. I have a 3mm SS Clapton 0.6 Ohm coil installed currently and it is vaping well under TC on a Joyetech Cuboid. With 80/20 juice and with juice control and air control full open the...

Carry case for a hollow body guitar

I run with the following rule of thumb: If it's a set neck guitar with "Gibson type" headstock always a hard case. Headstock breaks are far too common and expensive to fix. If it's a bolt on neck guitar with "Fender type" headstock i'll risk a soft case but only if the guitar is never out of...

    ***The Vapers Lounge*** 2.0

I have the iStick TC100w with the v1.1 firmware upgrade to 120w. Been playing with TC mode today and to a noob like me it seems to function well. The only slight issue I have found is that changing Watts in TC mode is a bit shaky as it increases/decreases pretty quickly as you hold the menu...

    ***The Vapers Lounge*** 2.0

The Kanger Subtank Plus arrived this afternoon and so far I'm really liking it and my first try at TC vaping. Seem to have bigger clouds and more intense flavour than my iSub G. Still pretty much a noob to vaping but the more I learn the more the obsession grows.

Good luck with quitting the analogs. My last cigarette was Monday this week after over 30 years of smoking, mornings are still hard but once I am past the initial craving for a fag the rest of the day is ok and I really don't miss them. I have a Nautilus tank for day to day use when driving or...
