So after finally getting my P1 pedals and using them for a month, I ask myself...how did I ever not ride with power? :D Excellent, loving them. The Zondas are superb as well. Transformed the bike. Got a bit carried away on payday and have a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt on order as well.

After a terrible week at work, Brewdog Hop Fiction

Frame arrived, bolted all the spares I had laying around on, had to order a 27.2mm seat post and suitable clamp, as I don't seem to have one in the massive box of said items. All I actually need is a semi decent set of forks to replace the carp Suntours I put on to get it rolling...Result :)

I decided to build a single speed XC bike this year, using used everything... Managed to pick up a reasonable condition Genesis Io ID frame. Now starts the hunt for bargain components :)

Basically wants decent alternative to the normal Zondas/Cosmic etc. These are there or there abouts, not many reviews, but all seemed positive.

So after borrowing a friends KICKR this week, I will now be justifying the extra cost for one, although it will have to be much later in the year.

I don't commute, work from home, so its just general rides, so I'd still have another set for bad weather normal stuff. Hmm, i'm so tempted :)

I've been offered a nice (new handbuilt) carbon tubular wheel-set. Are they worth getting for day to day use, or should I just keep saving and stick to clinchers?

Cheers BennyC. I wanted to go DD as the 3 I have tried have all had major tyre slippage issues when really pushing at high speeds, even with a trainer specific tyre, its put me off them tbh. Thinking about it they have all been A frame type, rather than the sort that use the weight on them...

I know, but I work from home and use the trainer all year round at lunchtimes. By the time you actually get ready to go out I only have half an hour, at a push, the trainer is a convenient commodity :)

So I've decided as I'm using Zwift more and more, I need to move away from the dumb trainer. Any advice on what to go for? I'd prefer a direct drive really. I like the Wahoo KICKR, but thats just too pricey. Can't justify spending more than 500-600 tops! Cheers guys and gals.

A very nice afternoon ride, sunny, not too cold. Only real downside was my Edge 1000 deciding to have a fit, yet again. I think its time for a change, this unit has put me right off Garmin.

That was terrible, the game was bad enough... But Wenger, the excuses are just down right pathetic now, please just go before you are pushed!

Top post... :D I dream of only spending £50 on a cassette after buying a bike ;) I was in the shop paying for it and adding up the cost of things to change LOL

I think the general consensus is: Planet X are okay, but there are so many other/better options at that money.
