    Yeah, that makes sense.

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

I just got a quote from them, and they were even more expensive than the quote I've been discussing above. They quoted £11,739 for 8x JA Solar 405W, a GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery, and a GivEnergy Hybrid Inverter.

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

I'd also welcome suggestions for a "fair" price for my quote.

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Yes. Goods, including scaffolding, accounts for ~£6,400. The rest (~£3,000) is installation and commissioning. They've added some big mark-ups on the parts (panels, inverter, battery), but at the same time they don't itemise the mounting system, bird mesh, cabling, etc. Plus I appreciate they...

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Was your quote from a local firm, or a national installer (with subcontractors)? I don't want to pay the cheapest price (and get a poor quality job), but I also don't want to get ripped off!

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Hi all. Any thoughts re. the cost on this quote? 8x 430W LONGI panels Solis 3kW Hybrid Inverter Dyness 5.12kWh Battery £9,400 The installation would be split east-west (4x and 4x), so scaffolding is required on both sides of the house. And in case it matters, this is in south-east England.

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

A quick update on my Gigabyte RX5700 Gaming OC (not the XT). I installed it yesterday and played some GTA 5 and Doom (the new one, obviously!) and no problems so far. I'm using the latest 19.12.3 driver. The rest of the build is: Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB 3600MHz RAM, MSI B450M MORTAR MAX.

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

They are supposed to get pretty hot! I've decided to get the non-XT version of the same card (same cooler etc). The performance is still amazing (coming from my HD 7950!), it's £75 cheaper, and there seem to be fewer driver issues with the non-XT. Hopefully I can report my findings next week...

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

I'd leave everything on the defaults and just try playing your favourite games.

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

I'm referring to the cables that came with my PSU though. My PSU came with a cable that terminates in 2x 6+2 PCI-E, but it plugs into a single socket on the PSU.

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

I'm seeing this advice in a lot of places but presumably this depends on your PSU? My EVGA 650 GS has a single 12V rail, so there's no extra power to be had from using a second output on the PSU. The cable itself can easily handle 300W+ (based on the cable gauge and molex specifications).

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

I dunno. I think the non XT version is better value (price per FPS) at £299, although there's no indication of when it will actually arrive in stock. It also seems like the non XT versions have fewer driver issues (based on all the forum/Reddit lurking I've done over the last week). At the same...

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

Thanks for pointing us towards that Gigabyte card. It really does look like a good option for anyone who wants a quiet PC (me!)

Are the RX5700 XT drivers stable now?

As per the thread title... I'm trying to get a feel for whether an RX5700 XT will be a hassle-free purchase. I would be using it with an MSI B450M MORTAR MAX and a Ryzen 5 3600x.

How loud is the Powercolor RX 590 Red Dragon?

    For the same price?

How loud is the Powercolor RX 590 Red Dragon?

Isn't the Devil overclocked though? Hence being louder?

How loud is the Powercolor RX 590 Red Dragon?

Can anyone with a Powercolor RX 590 Red Dragon give me an idea of how loud it is? The reviews of the Red Devil version all say that it's too loud (audible even when using headphones). I can't find any reviews for the Red Dragon.

Which USB sound card for "virtual surround" with headphones?

Having tried Windows Sonic, I'm not convinced it's any kind of substitute for CMSS-3D, SBX, etc. That dongle kind of looks ok, but it has no volume knob, which is actually a feature I need.

Which USB sound card for "virtual surround" with headphones?

Ha ha! My decision is primarily based on the fact that the X3 is significantly cheaper, and in the demo videos I found the X3 had better positional sound. I realise that those videos are fallible, but short of buying both devices it's the only thing I have to go on.
