*** ASUS UK P67/H67 swap out details finalised ***

I have just received my new P8P67 Deluxe board from Asus. It was picked up from UPS and judging by the timing, the replacement was despatched the same day they received back the faulty board. Ive been without my PC since last Monday night when I removed the faulty board so its been 7 days but...

I had the same problem. Returned it for RMA and received it back saying it had bent CPU pins, 2 to be precise. Worth checking.

The sandy bridge motherboards replacement begins

As already said. Under SOGA the product was sold faulty and you are entitled to a refund or replacement, whichever is easier for the retailer (is the key part). They should offer a direct replacement and cover all carriage costs in doing so but are under no obligation to give you a refund now...

    VG236HE 3d?

I have this monitor and a 6970. Would the 3D still work with the AMD card or has it got to be Nvidia?

    120Hz monitor that isn't fugly

I use the Asus 120Hz monitor. Nice gloss black frame. I have it wall mounted so I dont actually use the stand. I swapped to this from the Benq but not because it was fugly, it was poor backlight bleed. Overall im impressed with it and may stick with it. Im currently playing the Crysis 2 demo...

The sandy bridge motherboards replacement begins

I wouldnt mind doing that if I could buy the new board at the same price but they are charging a premium for the new B3 boards. Also, what about carriage? OCUK should be paying that if its to swap a faulty board but I suppose they can get around that as you are buying a new board and returning...

    Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

Has anyone any idea how long it is going to be (Hazro maybe ?) before the 30" model is in stock. Im leaning towards selling my 2 week old 120Hz Asus monitor in favour of a bigger screen. Its a toss up between the Hazro and the 27" Dell depending on how long its going to be as Im not very patient.

    Replacing a Laptop CPU

You will need to check if the motherboard chipset will work with the 800Mhz bus speed. Also need to check if the laptop BIOS will recognise the new CPU. Also might be worth checking that both CPU's have the same TDP as if the duo is higher, the Toshiba CPU cooler may not be up to the job of...

New Intel B3 Chipset! Now Being Shipped!

If it is a "design issue", are not all the chips identical ie - of the same design. Also you seem to be hung up on the use of the word "may" taking it to mean it "may" impact funcionality in time. My reading of it is that they are trying to understate the impact as writing "will impact" has a...

My nightmare new build - P8P67

Check your BIOS version. Im running 1204 on my Asus Deluxe and have no double boot problems. Have you set the bios to use the XMP profile of your RAM? If you upgrade the bios, do a CMOS reset straight afterwards.

    *****SANDYBRIDGE MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET ISSUE*****

I registered both my boards with Asus weeks ago. I suppose it depends if you are happy to wait. The way I see it you can do one of three thing. Send it back for a refund (just got mine for P8P67 Pro). Wait for the retailer to get the new B3 versions in or register it with Asus and do the swap...

    *****SANDYBRIDGE MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET ISSUE*****

Ive just received a call direct from Asus with regards to swapping out my Deluxe. She said it would be sometime in May. I got the impression that this would be direct with Asus and not through the retailer although she did ask if I had returned any (I had 2 boards) for a refund. 1 of which I...

New Intel B3 Chipset! Now Being Shipped!

I still cant believe people still think there not all faulty. The fault is exacerbated by using the affected ports. The more they are used, the higher the chance of them failing quicker. If you dont use them, that doesnt mean they are not faulty. Any way, Im happy with my refund for my Asus...

    *****SANDYBRIDGE MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET ISSUE*****

In this particular instance, it is accepted that all the chipsets are faulty as Intel have said they may deteriorate over time but each chip could fail at a different time, there is no straight forward answer as to when it will happen. Intel are being prudent in recalling all the chips so as to...

    60hz or 120hz for gaming?

Im having a dilema at the moment whether to keep my 2 week old asus 120Hz monitor or plunge for one of the 30" hazro IPS panel monitors. I dont remember seeing much difference in games between a 60 and 120Hz monitor but do like working with pictures also so think the Hazro will be the way to go.

    *****SANDYBRIDGE MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET ISSUE*****

Boards do not have to be actually broken/faulty to request a refund. THEY ARE FAULTY. Intel have said so and it is a widely acknowledge fact they are faulty. nkata is correct. The Sale of Goods act gives you protection and a right to refund as they where faulty when sold. The retailer has to...
