Hey all,
Took this morning, although my idea for the shoot didn't happen as the height of the grass in the sand dunes wasn't as long as i remember! (i'll just have to head down to Spurn point for some decent sand dunes) But you can always relay on the beach at dawn to provide something...
Got one too, love it. Great lens for landscape work. Although as you can guess perhaps not the best at 10mm for Artitechural work unless you wanna correct it in photoshop.
example at 10mm
Thats the best setup for the price, although if you want to use more then one Grad ND at a time, then you'll need to either get the Cokin Z-pro setup or Lee system.
for the 10-20mm you'll have to use either Hitech ND grads/ Cokin Pro-Z / Lee Filters. Due to the wide'ness of the 10-20mm, Esp so at 10-15mm you need to use a bigger filter size. The Cokin P ones are 85mmX85mm.
If you do want to use Cokin P filters with the 10-20mm you can cut the holder...
I think the best i could say would be to get a really good idea, and run with it. as said before, try and look at over meduims and bring them into play with your idea.
You might want to put some blocks of colour ontop of some of the areas of the images (square blocks etc). I've noticed hes' put his work on phone boxes, side of cars etc. You could try and work that into your work too. Perhaps take a photo of something you'd find on a street and then overlay...
programs such as Aperture and Abobe Lightroom allow you to make webgalleries pretty easy using there templetes.
I use Imagevue http://www.imagevuex.com although it costs from $42 (£20 ish). I find its easy to use and setup.
