I am setting up the above MB with a Cosmos ii ultra tower. The case has several cables coming out of it one of which is labelled GPU FAN I am not sure where to plug this in on the MB. There are four possible candidates though they are: CHA_FAN1,2,3,4. I only have a single GPU installed...

I want to set up six monitors on a budget. I looked at eyefinity but it is too pricey, and does not seem to be available at the moment. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not really too sure where this should go. I am having some display issues on my laptop. If I try and view a .chm file the contents in the main page is unreadable(navigation is ok though). Also silverlight applications do not work, e.g. when I use the Sky go player I see the initial screen but...

I have a DELL E6520 :eek: and I would like to replace the optical drive with a second SSD. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks.

Jeez that does sound similar. I will give it a go, nothing to loose. Although I am fairly sure that is not my problem as I originally lost the picture when I fired up a game, then successive reboots later have not brought it back :(

Well I tried it with the new PSU no luck so it looks like I am in the market for a Graphics card. I am going to try and exercise some restraint and get the 460 instead of the 480 based purely on price.

Funny you should say that, I did buy another psu but when it came to it I decided to use the old one as it was more powerful. Maybe I should try connecting outside the case with the new one...

Yeah I did upgrade I have now got: Intel Core i7 930 6Gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600Mhz Asus P6X58D-E So I guess my next stop is to post another thread here asking for graphics card recommendations!!

This may sound like a stupid question but here go's How do a tell if my graphics cars has died? Recently I though my motherboard had died and replaced it the cpu and ram. However still the system powers on but nothing is displayed on the monitor. I have looked at the card with the case...

Messy is ok as long as it works:D I may well have to do a clean install and restore from backup, but that will be a pain for re-activating things e.g iTunes

Ok but at some stage the drive must have managed without them? Like when windows was installed for the first time. Is there a set of generic windows drivers that I can get back to and then install the new drivers for the new MB?

Not sure if this should be here or the MB forum, but is related to both. I have jsut had to give my current motherborad its last rites - it is very sad as we have had some good times... My question is, can I move my old HD to a new motherboard? I can remember having problems with this...

Is there a issue with having a dvd drive as a master and a HD as a slave? I can boot from the cd drive if I disconnect the HD but that is not much good as I need both available. I can see both the drives in the bios.

I can't get it to boot from the cd now. It just says press any key to boot from cd or dvd then gos to a screen saying that windows had problems starting last time and how would I like to start windows this time. Any ideas?

I am not using Raid or SATA, could this be my problem? Mybe I will try a repair from the OS disk

The odd thing is I have tried it with Two diffenrt hard disks One with XP on it and the other with Vista. Same problem, so I am guessing my problem is somewhere else.
