I'm intrigued by easy HA friendly cameras for around the home .. any recommendations??
Not too pricey?
I had a tplink kasa, but it doesn't do HA live feed and intact it's debatable if it even likes HA... I've not tried too hard to get it to work, but I'd rather have something that just works...
I think today is my highest generation since install last year. 40.2 kWh
I have 14 x 420W panels.
Mid summer last year I had clear days but topped out at 37kWh
Probably the cooler air temp helped as there was little drop in efficiency, plus clear bright day!
Ah a pi.
I used to get quite a lot of issues with pi - as in the GivTCP would stop updating sensors and the only way to get it back working was a reboot.
I never checked logs but (and I touch wood here) since moving my HA to hyper V on a micro pc, it's had 100% uptime.
I'm not saying it's...
GivTCP requires MQTT and stuff too - have you checked that all the 'pathways' are clear?? By that I mean that the required add-ons are still functional too?
We did a few days for our honeymoon. Hired a car and stayed just outside Reykjavik (Hotel Laxness). We did blue lagoon one one day, drove the golden circle (gulfoss etc) another and went to Vik all on another day (southernmost tip) and did another day around the city... I think.
Renting a car...
But what can you do? The valid and mature case that won't get listened to is that a higher standing charge is less effective at encouraging careful electricity use, as it's a flat cost that's unavoidable by being sensible with use.
