That was my first thought, the Dlink DES-1008D is supposed to cope with straight or crossover cables.
I haven’t tried it with a crossover cable yet I will test it tonight.

Something I didn't mention was that I have swapped out the long 5 meter cable and still nothing however if I plug the DLINK on a short cable into the router it all works ok.

I have a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3P-B3 motherboard and my pc keeps power cycling, the pc never even gets to the bios info displaying on the screen just keeps cycling.
I suspect this is the motherboard but any advice on what it could be or how to fix it would be much appreciated.

I am trying to upgrade my copy of windows xp to windows 7.
Starts ok by shifting the old windows xp files but when it reboots to perform a clean install all I get is continues capital H scrolling up the screen on the left hand side.

Probably a bad choice of words, by this I meant is the game in HD (720, 1080 or any other type of HD) or does the 360 upscale it?

Something that does puzzle me is how Microsoft only need a standard DVD to fit their games on whereas Sony need a blu-ray disc for the same game.
