Forgot to respond.... I got a HD7950 CDII 3GB to replace the old 8800 GTX. Enabled Mantle... and went from Low in all Settings to High in all settings on BF4. Pulls a respectable 60fps+ Q6600 lives on... and with winter coming... it still doubles as a handy room heater.

Just use migration assistant from yours to theirs... it just adds a user account. Assuming each has enough room you do not need an external had drive. But in answer to your question - it will be fine... it does not delete pre-existing accounts.
