the CPU tests run at less than 1 frame a second and its difficult to tell if its still running or hanging, leave it for a few minutes and then see. If it really is quitting out, make sure your system isnt overheating first, that's what killed mine the first time round.

thats much more like it :D I'd be pushing my system further if I wasn't on air. But lets face it, it's no slouch as it is, even at stock speeds the GPUs kick ass :D

thats a great score, although I'm surprised you cant get a higher CPU score. My oc'd FX-57 rates as 1180pts, which is quite a wack above yours. I need to OC my gpus now... come on, you can get more! you know it makes sense ;)

do these exhaust the air to the exterior of the case? If not, these will be wasted for my system. The only interesting addition here is the Voltage Regulators now have airflow.

get that FX-60 OC'd, its got WAY more to give than at stock. Should be able to push this up to 2.8 on air easily.

some of the lower end cards do this, they call it 'turbocache' or something.

get yourself an Arctic Cooler unit to put on there. MUCH better cooling. Is the ambient temperature in the case high? Maybe thats not helping either.

That really is total overkill even for gaming. I could see the need if it did well in something like 3D apps where live previews or complex wireframes need grunt, but then so the workstation class cards support SLi even? the amount of heat and noise generated would be outragious. Still...

try using the latest nVidia ones, they do make a difference. Also, make sure you update the nForce drivers to, I think the latest version is 6.67. That made a difference for me.

Just installed the second unit, so both cards now have the AC fans on them. Currently idling at 38c. which is a drop of around 12-14 degrees! The follow temps have been recorded after burning in running 3D Mark 06 (previous temps marked in brackets) FX-57 @ 3GHz Idle: 32 (45) Load: 46...

This shows another AC problem, where I had to snap off part of the fan cover to fit the cooler in the correct alignment with the Corsair TwinX Pros in place. The Heatsinks are twice the height and get in the way. Gotta love breaking things :D
