Disney wouldn't allow apple to sell the movies in 4k at the same price as HD or for apple to upgrade users with the HD movies to HD as they did for every other Studio.
The stream in 4k on other services.
The idea of hooking your PC up to your TV is pretty much 20 years out of date for watching video content.
Far simpler and easier to use to just buy a streaming box - Amazon / Appletv / Roku
That way you can easily access streaming services like Netflix / Prime / iPlayer, browse you tube etc...
The main reason would be most of the blockbuster films and currently all of the Marvel films have large portions of the film in Imax digital ratio 1.9:1
The dolby screens can't show this and have a cropped version.
I like the idea of what they are trying to do with dolby cinema but it you are...
Its not 'mastered' for 70mm imax as the format is sadly virtually unused anymore.
But it is shot on Imax digital cameras at 6.5k and then edited at 4k with the exact aspect ratio of these digital imax screens.
The 4K Dual laser Imax screens are a bit step up for the regular Imax digital...
If trying to watch projected movies in 'daylight' in the best quality possible is your prime concern I would focus on getting an 'ambient light rejecting' screen like a draper ReAct.
This will at least give a projector a chance to avoid giving you a washed out poor image.
Use a VPN set to US to open accounts with VUDU and Movies Anywhere, then link Vudu to My UV and Movies anywhere.
Lastly to can add google play / iTunes etc to movies anywhere so those films show up on those services.
That isn't my experience at all in the past 5 years doing regular work and pleasure trips to the states- i certainly have had Cadillacs and BMW's but only when work was paying (or more recently using Turo)

If you've never had a Mustang or a Camero before and like the idea of convertible.... go for it - you'll have fun and you'll be fine. Ive managed to fit 2 suitcases in mustangs camero's and challengers - the Camero has the smallest boot and the challenger the biggest.

Has anyone tried Turo? Seems like a Air B n B style setup for renting cars in the US and you typically get 'interesting stuff' available.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience?
There are options of 2D showing of virtually every 3D film these days.
With the rare exception of proper Imax screens like the Empire at Leicester Square or the BFI, local cinemas with fake "digital 2k imax" projectors showing 2.35:1 films are nothing like 4 x as large. Its a clever marketing...
Many of those 'fake' 3D movies are exactly as the filmmakers intended - the directors of Guardians of the Galaxy and Dr Strange in particular have been openly vocal in their support and perforce for the 3D versions of their films.
The argument that 'fake' 3D is inferior kind of went out the...
Your not forced to do anything, almost every 3D release has 2D showings that are available, but the 3D releases are still making a lot of money with audiences theatrically and it’s great to be able to see the films as the film makers intentions.
If you're a fan of 3D and want to continue enjoying it, projectors are still supporting the format are really give the best experience of it.
It does seem a sad situation given 9/10 of last years top grossing theatrical releases were 3D released.
Both of those sockets are F plug connections typical of use in the UK for Satellite and cable connections.
If the plug on the left is currently running Virgin then thats a cable connection and won't work in a satellite tuner, but the one on the right might be a single sat feed.
