Do bookshelf speakers have to be on a stand?

Hi all, I'm currently looking to purchase some bookshelf speakers but do you really need to place them on a dedicated set of stands (versus say a wood media cabinet)? I know there is a chance of vibrations/etc but is it necessary? I'm looking to save space and having them mounted for optimal...

    LG OLED 2023 Thread - A3, B3, C3, G3

Sorry if this has been asked already but what's the best way to flush mount the G3? Would it be to install a recessed power socket (rather than cutting the plug?)

    BMW: bubbles/warping on frame

Hi, I went to see a new car and noticed this on both sides of the car in multiple places, does anyone know what it could be? Is it something that could be fixed, or would it be covered under the BMW warranty? Thanks

What car to buy for around ~12K

Lol at the skoda yeti :D Deep is right though, I'm not really into cars tbh. The lexus seems a good shout, didn't consider that thanks! I think the golf would be too small, the merc looks very nice but again could be an issue with (large) people in the back. I'll see what I can test drive...

What car to buy for around ~12K

Hi, Due to my dad's condition driving an automatic makes it easier for him, so I'm afraid a manual isn't an option. Also we were looking at saloons as we'll need space for other people/things in the boot. I wouldn't say it's a case of having money to burn, just that we've driven an old car for...

What car to buy for around ~12K

Hi, I'm looking for a car for me and my dad to share for around 12K and neither of us are really clued up about cars. The only think we've decided is an automatic petrol with (ideally) less than 50K miles, just something half decent with a comfortable ride and somewhat economical. One car...

Hi, I've got the below working so you can see all the items in a shelf, all shelves inside a cabinet, but I know running queries inside loops isn't the best performance wise. Is there a way I can optimise this? CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS cabinet ( cabinet_id int not null...

    Looking for a 5.1 setup, budget £600-800

Yes budget inc amp. The room is 10 feet by 9 and seating position is about 6-8 feet. Some else suggested the Q Acoustics 1010i 5.1 might be better. The things I'll be connecting is a panasonic g20, sky box, dvd player and playon mini hd. Only the playon has a hdmi connection.
