What did you do to your bike today?

Not usually a fan of coloured seats, but that works really well! I had a red/white seat cover on my RD125LC and I was forever cleaning it, went back to black soon enough! I was a grubby handed 17yr old so that wouldn't have helped :D

Aprilia RSV Tuono 1000 - Gen 1 - Sudden Issue

Common faults with the early RSV 1000 engines were stators and fuel pumps. I believe Aprilia issued a recall for the fuel pump, but the stator is an ongoing issue and well known common fault, even to this day people carry spares in their garage etc. I'd start basic and check fuel filter for...

What did you do to your bike today?

I have taken liberties with mine, no flapper valve, no baffles, 3rd year of advisory for exhaust. It's not offensively loud, but it does draw attention. Thankfully the right kind! Keep meaning to pick up a stock end can off ebay but always end up buying something else.

What did you do to your bike today?

Took my R1200GS adv for MOT, passed with usual advisory 'exhaust noisy'. I'll take that, it's got a full Akrapovic system installed, yep I know, waste of time/money, but it was on there when I bought it :D

Sim racers - what are you running?

Been a busy week off for me, decided to spring clean my 'shed/man cave/place she don't bother me'. Stripped the rig down and decided to move things around (only way I'll clean anything proper) ended up getting involved in cable management, looked terrible so it's a definite improvement. Haven't...

What did you do to your bike today?

As is customary (for me) on Mother's Day to make a home made batch of chilli and drop it over to her. Even though weather isn't great fancied digging the GS out as the riding experience on that is the same rain or shine! Had a decent ride there and back only to be greeted with this, just as I...

Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

That is very true, the more you do anything the less anxious it becomes. Also true about somewhere to fly, I'm lucky being out in the sticks with a lot of woodland around me I can stick it up and have a practice but yes I want to broaden my scope. Coastal is always good, as long as the wind...

Multirotor, multicopter and quadcopter discussion - The Drone thread

I dug my Mavic Pro out the other day and was surprised that the batteries all charged up fine and reported correct voltage, none of the batteries were swollen either. I'm as guilty as most, buy a drone, fly it a few times, take some interesting photos and put them in the cupboard for a few...

Sim racers - what are you running?

Load cell handbrake and Push/Pull shifter finally arrived from SimLabs today after ordering 3 month ago.. Installed on my rig and had a quick drive on WRC. Muscle memory going to require altering, keep reaching over to the gear lever for sequential shifting! Need to spend some time now...

*** OcUK VR Sim Racing Thread ***

Ditto, I miss the TT challenge, was great fun as hotlapping goes! I've not VR raced before, but spend an awful lot of time on rally games and mods on AC. 1. AC or AMS2 2. Weekly/monthly/every couple of weeks. Happy to go with the majority. 3. Saloon cars 80s/90s BTCC etc. or open wheels...

If there's 1 generation of gaming you could play forever, which one would it be?

ZX Spectrum/Amiga for me. Both have those woah gaming moments that I've not had since. Ok maybe the Playstation/Dreamcast had a few of those moments too. Yep, Amiga. Would definitely be happy playing that gen forever!

    Upcoming Concerts

Took my daughter to see Queens of the Stone Age back in June at Dreamland Margate, she's 23 and listened to mainly boy band (one direction) type of stuff most her life, so I thought I'd see if she'd enjoy a change of music genre.. Roll on 5 months later, she got 2 tickets and took me to...

    EA WRC -

Yep same too. Stutters at start of new stage, then at random points through stages enough to ruin the enjoyment. Definitely a step backwards. Previous WRC titles are better than this janky mess! Shame as it's got potential. May have to revisit it later on down the line if they ever get round...
