I know they're rated for 1000Mbit/sec, but I was a bit dubious after reading what I read. Saying that, it's probably due to the proximity of the adaptors, new wiring etc. If I were to move one upstairs for example, I suspect that transfer rate would drop off a cliff!

Nope, bytes. The adaptors are only 5 metres from each other so I suppose that plays a part, and it's new wiring in a new house. I wasn't that optimistic when I bought them after reading various reviews on PoE stuff, but they are performing very well for me and my PS3 :)

I've just picked up a pair of Belkin Play Gigabit Powerline HD adaptors to connect my VDSL modem to my Home Hub. Had them running for a day and have experienced no less than 110MB/s. Cost me less than £60 too ;)

Yes, definitely. The Mondeo I had attracted little attention, other than the odd knowledgeable motorist who could tell I had a V6. My current car, a Civic Type-R, attracts FAR much more attention - tis fun to hit VTEC and watch whatever it is go backwards though :D

Wouldn't be surprised if it was foul play. I too work in retail management, and as daft as it sounds, I won't park my car anywhere other than a place as close to the door as possible, lit up like a Christmas tree, and covered with several CCTV cameras. We've had a couple of instances at work...

It's quite easy to do the discs and pads on a Type R - me (a complete car DIY noob) and NickXX did my front ones in about an hour once we'd got the bits sorted (had to go get new disc retaining screws -- the previous ones looked a little worse for wear!)

They're not live mate, IIRC just the poles are up without cameras at the moment. I went from Jct 35 to 21 Friday evening; only things I watch for are the ones between 28 and 25. Also noticed an increased traffic police and highway officer presence over the past few weeks :)
