    SSH with dynamic IP addresses

Hi guys, I'd like to SSH to my linux box but I'm on a college network which has DHCP. At the moment I've forced it onto a static IP but I figure at some point I'll become unstuck when the DHCP server decides to issue the same IP as I've chosen. Is there an elegant work around for this? :)...

Electronics Question - Inductor and Current Rate of Increase

There's just a couple of golden rules: The current can't instantaneously change through an inductor The potential difference can't instantaneously change across a capacitor. Is this A-Level or are you in a degree?

Electronics Question - Inductor and Current Rate of Increase

Well. The way I see it is that you model the resistance in the wires as resistors which are connected to the other components by wires with no resistance. So you'll go +10V ---- 20mR-----120H-----20mR-----0V Ok? So for question 1, with the current being zero at all points around the...

Electronics Question - Inductor and Current Rate of Increase

First thing I'll say is that it's a series circuit and the current must be the same all the way around the circuit. Next thing. For that relationship between potential difference and rate of change of current, you can see that it is not possible to have an instantaneous change in current as it...

Hi there, A few weeks ago my computer started stuttering whilst listening to music, either through youtube, spotify, winamp etc. It also happened when I was playing FSX when loading textures, like when on the approach and it was loading the airport. I sequentially replaced memory, motherboard...

    Whats going on with Shipping?

Another disgruntled DX Secure customer. Been waiting in all day for them. Don't think it's going to turn up in the next 2 minutes... Never had anything other than DPD from Overclockers before and that has been lovely.

Oh right! Thanks for letting me know, shows how far out of touch I am. So is overclocking now predominantly done using the multiplier rather than the FSB now? Yeah, I've got some XMS3 1.5v. Any particular board you'd recommend? I only went with that one because I've heard a fair few people...

    LCD Monitor Problem!

Xerihae, I'm interested to hear about your fault. My monitor, the exact same as yours developed the same problem at about the same time. It has been in for repair for 30 days now. Looks like a common problem and DGM's repair service is the absolute worst thing in the world. I'm very angry...

    My 200mph budget build

Well, I started reading from the first page and found this. No. The coefficient of drag is dimensionless. Drag = Coefficient of drag * Area * dynamic pressure :o

Whats your q6600 speed on air?

3.3GHz (9x370) @ 1.44v 1.2875v VID G0 I would push it further, 3 of the cores are 24-hr prime stable but core 3 dies after about a minute. Argh ! Idles at about 40c, peaks at 65c on prime.
