    Help interpreting OBDII data please

Hi, I'm currently driving a 2011 Citroen C4 Picasso 2.0 petrol automatic which had an issue a few months ago with error code P0170. I took the car to the garage and they said it was probably just a bit of dirty fuel so reset it. More recently the car went into limp mode and came up with error...

recovery from an overwritten file system

Hello, I had a 256GB SSD with a Windows 7 installation on, running in NTFS. I thought I had cleared everything off the drive so deleted the partition and installed KodiBuntu, using the default ?ext3/4? file system. Now is there any way, using my Windows box, to look for old files that...

    Weird starting issues.

Yeah tried bump starting initially but the fuel (and tank) was awful, so whilst that is out being repaired I don't have that option. I was initially thinking along the same lines (airflow) so took the air box and exhaust off but it did not help. However I replaced the 10mm2 cable to the starter...

    Weird starting issues.

Starter motor isn't seized, it'll turn the engine over as long as there isn't any compression. I've taken the motor out and cleaned the brushes which seemed to give it a little more torque but still not enough to turn the engine over.

    Weird starting issues.

Hi, I've recently bought a barn find Lada Niva but am having strange symptoms when trying to start. It's a 2002 model (not much different to the original) and has been stationary for 6 years. When the spark plugs are out the engine turns over really easy, it'll even turn over just by...

    VPN problem

Thanks for the idea. I've connected into the Synology from the internal network and it all goes through perfect, on all the different usernames. (Using PPTP) That leads me to believe it is the Router/Modem. First port of call on that seeing as I've already tried a full reset was to try...

    VPN problem

Hi I've been using Windows 7 PPTP services to connect to a synology DS412+ at home for ages, however recently it stopped working about the same time the super hub updated and also the software on the synology box updated. I know the VM not so Super Hub has a bad reputation so ended up...

Another spec me a camera thread!

I'm not sure if it's exact spec will meet your requirements but it is a bloody good camera, the Panasonic DMC TZ7. I bought my parents one a couple of years ago and they've never had any issues with it, it's very easy to point an dshoot and get good shots. The one down side for me is that it...

    What next?

I think the S5 was around the £250 mark when I bought it so around a similar amount. Up to £300 I reckon.

    What next?

Hi, I've had a Canon PowerShot S5 IS for many years and have been thoroughly impressed with it. The camera still works fine but I feel it's just getting a little old and I want some extra ability, mainly more pixels and more zoom. Unfortunately the other features that I have come to love on...

The headache of choosing a NAS drive.

EDIT: I went on a bit so the main questions are underlined. I've been wanting to get a NAS drive for a while now but have been struggling to decide on any one in particular, I'm finding it very difficult to do comparisons as there are so many options available. I have around 2.5TB of data...

    SuperChip problem

The process involved the garage reading my map off the car, e-mailing it to SuperChips, them checking my map for anomolies, e-mailing the garage a new map, the garage flashes the new map. Voila, an apparently faster car. The garage said they don't do the RR for stuff from superchips because...

    SuperChip problem

Yes a turbo diesel, Citroen C5 2.2D. Don't all turbo diesels mave that much variance between Tq and Bhp?? Citroen also do a 2.7l V6 diesel now that has (after superchip) 239BHP and 528NM of torque, that'd be a fun drive. NM was the first torque figre I heard about and it's stuck with me...

    SuperChip problem

Hello, I've had a superchip map programmed into the car last week (from a reputable garage) which is meant to change the BHP from 139 to 172 and the Torque from 353NM to 432NM. I'm of the opinion that that is fair old change and should be definitely noticeable but I can't tell the difference...

    Sony VAIO boot sequence

Guys/Gals Having an issue with a Sony Vaio PCG-8R1M. I need to install a brand spanker OS on it but the screen is broken. This causes an issue in getting to the boot options menu to boot from the CD as the external screen doesn't operate until the current (broken) OS has booted. Does...

    Server 2k3 raid recovery

Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to raid the OS. I had one IDE disk running the OS and 4 SATA disks in the raid 5 array for storage. All were connected direct to the mobo.

    Server 2k3 raid recovery

I was running a small home PC with server 2003 on it, which was controlling a software dynamic disc (raid5) for data storage. Having focused so much on the data storage array I overlooked the importance of the OS drive. Last week this became my first ever drive to fail and now the storage...

    Trouble accessing a website

Hi, I have a laptop trying to access http://www.xec.gapbuster.com but I keep getting "page cannot be displayed". All the other computers on the network can see the website so i guess it is not the router, or the site, or my connection. I've checked the IE settings and it is not a...

    RF ink technology

Have been reading an interesting article about ink that has RF ID chips inside it. http://www.macsimumnews.com/index.php/archive/motorola_introduced_rfi_based_inks_to_financial_analysts This seems pretty impressive but it's dated 2005 and i can't find anything else about it since. Has...
