    Championship/EFL Thread 23/24

As a Leeds fan I can't handle this anymore, it's so frustrating.

What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Re-playing Just Cause 3 on my steam deck, runs great. Just waiting for Manor Lords tbh, less than 3 weeks to go.

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

it gets sucked/pulled towards the fan if I hold it close to the fan. It doesn't 'lift' it up if I lay a piece of foil on a tray, the edges of the foil just wiggle a bit in the airflow.

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

Yup no leakage around the seals. We try space out trays. I.e roasties and meat have a decent gap between them. It doesn’t ‘suck’ any foil or anything up if I just laid some in a tray. Maybe it is just a crap oven. I bought an in-oven thermometer and there is a difference of around 10c between...

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

Hmmm I haven’t checked, but it spins clockwise so I’d assume it’s all good?

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

It was gunk free! Turns out there’s 4 slits at the back of the oven where it pushes air back out, just very very weak. Especially in comparison to the main suck of the fan

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

Ahhh I just checked and there are 4 smallish slits in each corner at the back of the oven. These are blowing out the air, although nowhere near as strongly as the fan is sucking it in.

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

It’s not been great since we moved in. Somebody came and replaced the heat element/thermometer around October time but there wasn’t a huge difference. It’s absolutely blown my mind that this is what the issue has been, it just seems to illogical

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

Dammit, I knew it! How weird is that? It must be a third party fan that was replaced previously.

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

Just took a quick video of the fan as it turns off, you can see the direction of the blades and the additional cutout thing I mentioned above…is it the wrong way round? https://imgur.com/a/UOFmsRF Edit: Omfg I think my fan is the wrong way round? Edit2: https://imgur.com/a/fGBeUpB I...

Fan oven - air doesn’t ’blow’ but fan is on

We’ve had this oven ever since we moved into the house (Beko KDC653W). Nothing cooks evenly and more than 1 item/tray in the oven and it’s a nightmare. It’s a fan oven, but there never feels like there a ‘draft/air movement’ when the fan turns on, you don’t get a ‘gust of heat’ blown at you...

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

That was an interesting helpful read thanks! It would be getting plenty of longish drives on weekends with a few short journeys during the week.

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

Can you see why I’m struggling to decide what to do? Even in this thread it’s been 50/50 lol! Regarding a ‘regen’ is this something triggered manually or automatically? How exactly does that work?

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

We would do those trips once a month anyway, without needing to factor it in. Does this ACTUALLY work and undo any spot build up from the daily short trips, or is it just a ‘try this’ scenario?

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

I've done some readings on other forums and some quick googling. Everything is doom and gloom and i'm going to kill the Van costing £1000's, hence my confusion! Could you explain soft regens? Is this where the car purposfully heats itself up when it starts to notice the DPF getting full? Do all...

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

Evening Motors, We're looking at getting rid of our car (Petrol estate) and getting a VW Transporter (or similar) SWB van, either already convertered or a blank canvas and getting a conversion done. This will be for weekend adventures with our little one, something we've always wanted to do. I...
