    Your bad driving encounters

No law - it's advised in the highway code, but most people these days are selfish **** with no concern for anyone else, so it's to be expected. While not dangerous in itself, it is pretty inconsiderate, and encourages dangerous overtakes from the more important German car impatient drivers stuck...

    Would you tip game devs?

How Bout "No".gif As others have said - if you really want to "tip", buy all the DLC, soundtrack, art books etc. gift copies to your friends (I've just bought a couple of mates Ori and the Blind Forest). Tips are supposed to show someone has gone above & beyond their job, not just a reward for...

    Random 3D printing chatter

Just done another print of a part which was almost impossible to get off the PC sheet (took me about 5 mins with a spatula), literally just flexed the PEI sheet and it came off :D

When are you going fully electric?

This is pretty much the worst use case for an EV to be honest. You get the cost and inconvenience of public charging on longer journeys, but none of the cost savings of home charging and convenience of having a full "tank" every morning ready to drive to work.

    Fluorescent tube to LED?

That's not so much the fact it's an LED bulb, but that it's more than 2x brighter. You replaced a 40W fluorescent with a 40W LED rather than a 40W equivalent LED. (40W fluorescent is equivalent to ~18W LED) :)

    Just bought an Ender!

Thought I'd update after running this for a week. Seems to be working pretty nicely, I got a PEI bed over the weekend which seems a nice improvement over the stock PC one - much easier to remove prints, and nice smooth/satin texture on the bottom vs the rough texture from the default. Had a few...

    Random 3D printing chatter

I noticed the same with mine, some prints were really hard to get off, so I got a PEI sheet yesterday, and it seemed a lot easier to remove (although I've only tried 1 print with it so far).

** Official Horizon: Forbidden West Complete Edition Thread **

Heh, I was pretty surprised when I was wandering around some random little camp in the first game and heard Geralt's unmistakable growl coming from one of the random NPCs

Games that would make good Films/TV series

HZD would be utterly horrific if they did the history well, and managed to translate all the memories/audio logs you find into flashbacks or similar

Someone tell me I'm not imagining this: Old Kids TV show

That reminds me of the time I saw a magic tractor, it was just driving down the road normally, when suddenly it turned into a field

    Insured or Not?

If it was that easy a loophole then nobody would bother with commuting cover, they'd just "go for a walk in the park" or "pop to the shops" before and after starting work...

When are you going fully electric?

Only because you can't keep up...

When are you going fully electric?

It is mildly amusing when there's some barry'd up boy racer with a pops & bangs map making a whole load of noise trying to keep up with me in my Niro when I'm not even trying and in almost complete silence :p

    Insured or Not?

Be interesting to see a legal basis for that. They ask for a mileage estimate with no stipulation of how accurate that should be, and I think they'd be opening themselves up for a world of aggro trying to enforce it unless you were way off, or they could prove that you deliberately underestimated.

    Kingdom Come : Deliverance 2

Damn, that's not bad! *goes key shopping* I don't remember much (any?) loading? Do you mean the fast travel? In which case I though that was done quite well (although I didn't use it much); the world isn't supposed to be a nice safe place where you could just travel around as you pleased...

tell me why not to buy this hahah

Huge pixels and crap HDR... If you don't care about HDR and have poor eyesight then probably not too bad, but otherwise I'd avoid! The AW ultrawide suggested above would be a much better purchase. Same number of pixels, slightly smaller sure, but much nicer ones :p If you can wait, then I'm...

    Kingdom Come : Deliverance 2

I felt the same the first time I played it, and gave up after a couple of hours. Then a few years later whilst l was looking for something "new" to play through decided to give it another go and: This basically. You quite literally start off as an inexperienced peasant who's never swung a...

    Relaxing Games

Lost Ember is pretty chilled, although relatively short and not a particularly "happy" game. The Hunter: Call of the Wild is also relaxing, 90% of it is walking slowly through bushes trying to find something to shoot, and enjoying the scenery :)

    The increasing incompetence of companies

Dart finally sent the PCNs through to me, only close to a full 7 months later. Sum total of £5 since it was my first crossing (and following this debacle, certainly the last!). No idea why they couldn't just use the £5 I originally paid them 2 days after crossing, god knows how many...
